Saint_Ann syndrome rears it’s ugly battered head…again.

Also:

The U.S. rejects millions of potential visitors for the threat they pose to the nation…just like Australia did with Candace Owens.

The First Amendment in the U.S. Constitution does not apply to visa decisions made in other nations. Australia decided that it was not in their national interest for Ms. Owens to be spouting off her conspiracy theories in person within their nation. That's their choice.

People in Austrailia can still read her bullshit on line if they choose to.

Just because you are an American does not mean that other nations are required to grant you physical access.
As written it does. We can't enforce it mind you but it does apply.

Regardless of what one thinks of Candace Owens (my opinion is extremely low), this isn't something to celebrate. It's to a country's discredit when it prevents somebody from visiting because of their political views. That shouldn't happen, ever, period.
This is a viewpoint I can agree with across any political aisle. (y)

Its not the government's place to shut down people like Candace. However the media should absolutely shut her down.

Gosh, Mr SuckToy, I find it surprising that you would open the borders of the USA to Islamic theocrats, members of the Chinese Communist Party, and Hispanic migrants who believe that America's prosperity should be shared.

I did not know you were so open-minded about who entered the USA, but like you say, a person's views should not restrict their movement from one country to another.

You sound confused about the international legal concept of sovereignty. Are you aware that the US Constitution is not the law of the land in other countries?

Members of the old rock group KISS were denied entry visas into Germany until they modified their large stage logo to remove the runic-looking "SS" letters. They replaced them with basically 'backward Zs" for German and Austrian concerts. So much for "free speech", am I right?

Not enough people realize this. The perception people seem to have, is that truckloads of heavily armed paramilitaries are crossing the border by the convoy, and people are just waving them through. It's one of those things that is ridiculously overhyped and over exaggerated. Now, granted, they could do a better job of manning the uninhabited stretches of border between Arizona and the US but again, its not like there are literally thousands of undocumented crossings by armed paramilitaries. Usually it is poor, desparate families with children.

You've been to the border? :)

I did not realize that there was a border between Arizona and the U.S.

I always thought that highway stop between Arizona and California was for agricultural inspection. I must've blown right past the port of entry every time I drove to New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, or Colorado.

yes, I was at the Arizona/Mexico border, and I saw an entire mass wall of humanity, stretching across the horizon, maybe hundreds of thousands of men, shoulder to shoulder, marching across the border, all of them carrying M-16s and AK47s and backpacks loaded to the brim with bags of white powder.

So you really have no idea what is actually going on. Just admit it. :)

All I'm saying is the situation at the border is being heavily exaggerated, over-hyped, and promoted for political gain. Typical scapegoating and fear-mongering. And no, I am not implying that there doesn't need to be better enforcement of illegal border crossings- there most certainly DOES. There does need to be better and more effective border security, with the drug traffickers and potential for wrong-doers entering the unfortified southern border. But again, this is over-exaggerated; what about the NORTHERN border?

You NEVER hear about that one. How easy would it be for potential terrorists or smugglers to enter, say, a remote stretch of Montana or North Dakota through the Canadian border? How secure is that border? How is that one any more or less secure than the southern one?

OR what about Alaska? What about smugglers crossing the Bering Sea from Russia? All kinds of potential bad actors- Russian drug smugglers, spies, saboteurs, hit men- any one of them could take a small boat and stealthily land somewhere on a remote stretch of the Yukon Delta and suddenly have easy access to anywhere in the state-or the lower 48. (Remember that Russia and Alaska are only 2.5 miles apart at their closest point; that being Ratmanof and Diomede islands. Look at it in Google Earth!) Does anyone really know what's going on up in Alaska?

Okay, so my rambling point here is this: People focus way too much on the southern border. The possibility of trouble coming across the Bering Sea, or down through Canada, is possibly just as great as from Mexico.

I know knew that Australia was Racist, but proof is always good.

Canada enforces it's border. Mexico, not so much. Ask people who live at the southern border whether it's a problem or not. :)

Candace Owens' "White Lives Matter Most" tour was denied an entry visa into New Zealand yesterday as well.

It would seem hate speech is not tolerated well below the equator.
