There are indications that Trump might actually win the popular vote. If true on Wednesday morning democrat lawyers will be trampling each other at the court house doors and it will be hilarious to watch.

Why?

National Popular Vote Interstate Compact

Yep, a bunch of democrat shit for brains lawyers thought they'd figured out a way to circumvent the Constitution re. the electoral votes. And should Trump actually win the popular vote those very same shit for brains lawyers are going to be tripping all over themselves trying to invalidate the very law they cooked up. Then we'll see what they think about democracy.

That's not going to happen.

Trump has taken a slight lead in the RCP national poll average, and has been polling far better this year in national polls than he did in 2016 and 2020. The possibility of a popular vote victory is clearly in play. But that’s not how we determine presidents. The EC will issue the final verdict and it’s anyone’s guess where the chips will fall.

Yes, it would be nice to see Kamala Harris certify Trump if he wins the EC as Pence did when Biden won. Thanks to bipartisan legislation passed in 2022, I’m confident we’ll have a peaceful transition of power regardless of who wins.

Been seeing quite a bit of reporting about Trump potentially winning the popular vote as well. That's absolutely awesome.

I hope not. That would be boring.

I want to see rioting.

You obviously don't know even what the NPVIC is if this is your concern.
1. It's not even active yet because not enough states have ratified it.
2. There is nothing unconstitutional about it. The Constitution leaves it up to the states how to award electoral votes. (One doesn't even need to mention - but I will anyway - how fond your side usually is of states' rights...but not here. Funny, that!)
3. In your scenario, the only way it would even come into play would be if Trump won the popular vote but lost the electoral vote. Absolutely no one expects that to happen, on either side of the aisle. The reverse is far more likely.

That's because right-wing pollsters have been flooding the averages, precisely for the purpose of fooling people like you. Besides, the RCP national poll average simply averages out a bunch of polling results, without accounting in any way for differences in sample size, the pollster's track record, differences in the questions that were asked, or any of a dozen or more other variables that should be addressed.

If not, we all know which side is prone to violence, and it's not the one you desperately want to believe it is.

Given the sources you obviously use, I have no doubt!

And what sources would those be?
The ones that tell you Trump has any chance whatsoever of winning the popular vote. There is zero chance of that, and I don't think his campaign is even gunning for that. They're just trying to either win the electoral college, or get close enough to pull another January 6 and maybe succeed this time.

The fact that he has never topped 47% of the vote before, and that undecideds are breaking for Harris.
So you're of the opinion that it is absolutely impossible for your information and assessment to be inaccurate or incorrect?

In this case, yes. There is no way Trump is going to win the popular vote. I'm convinced even his campaign managers know that (although the man himself probably doesn't).

CNN sees it dead even. That's a Trump lead without the corporate spin and bias.

So just exactly what source would be accepted as showing Trump in the lead?
A poll from a trustworthy source, and I'd want to see the crosstabs (are they oversampling men, and in particular young men, who vote at very low rates?). This particular CNN poll shows a 12-point gender gap, which is much smaller than I'm hearing almost everywhere else.

So many MAGA fuckwads on Lit. Go fuck yourself.
Keep in mind that many of them are, in fact, the same person; starting with Rebel5soul/Icanhelp/hisarpy/Glamorilla/Ramone45/HumpdayHoratio. Who is actually one person with six currently active screen names.
This is the kind of shit these hateful trolls have to resort to to be convincing.

This needs to be saved for posterity.
