The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I wish! I have a 4-page questionnaire that needs to be completed before I see the lawyer on Monday.

My bed got delivered today. The delivery guys were going to take some parts that came with the bed. They couldn't understand why I wanted them. I finally had to say, "Just  DROP it!"

When I came back from walking the little girl, the lawn guy was there. He was gaslighting me about something he promised to do (and hasn't done). I had enough and fired his ass. Now, I have to decide if I want to cut the grass myself or hire another service. Basically, all they did was mow and blow and go. I have a level lot; I can mow it, I think.

Then the boat guy, Frank, showed up. I climbed up into the boat and threw down all the stuff that was in the storage areas while Frank winterized the motor, and removed the prop and battery. Then we put the giant cover on the boat. It's a 24 ft so the cover is HUGE and unwieldy. Frank did most of the work.

This weekend will also be trying to figure out why my docking station and new laptop aren't getting along. 🙄 I just want stuff to work! Is that too much to ask? 😆😆
I completely understand where you are coming from. It's like the tests have come out of the woodwork. I won't get into my list that is quite similar on a different aspect, but overwhelmed is the common denominator. The one driving me the most nuts is garbage disposal. I'm down to one side of my sink and the nasty filler in the other one that rises and falls occasionally is  disgustingly gross. I still have to fix all the holes in the walls that the POS graciously placed and the shower tiles that he dented in. Let alone all the damn clutter that needs to go. I have found a place that would give me a dumpster for $450 for 15 days. I think I found my summer plan.

It's like all at once I see everything and then I want to fix it right now, but it's not possible.

Try not to get overwhelmed.

OM had really good advice earlier: priotizing, working out the biggest and toughest things first.

Or you could have us all come down and help!! (If only that easy…)

You got this hun. 1 project at a time. Get everything you want gone ready before the dumpsters there so it's filled and gone and you don't miss anything. But one at a time. 😘🤗💋

Big hugs for our sweet L

Nurses...the most trusted profession..... also the most psychotic and sneaky
I spent a fair amount of time in the hospital after surgery. I loved the nurses that cared for me. What surprised me was their surprise when I want to know their names. Some of them were surprised and I wasn't trying to make time. I just appreciated how kind they were.

Do you have a trickle charger to keep the battery charged? Is the boat a hardtop or canvas? I always had problems with water getting in. I finally sorted it inside.

In a healthy arrangement, no. Of course, I didn't grow up in the healthiest of households. I did discover what I want and what I will tolerate, and I decided what I will not tolerate. Shit gets st000pid, you gots to go.

Wat likes old cars, motorcycles, and womens. They all cause trouble. Wat can fix the cars and bikes.
Oh I didn't get wise to my own stuff til i was 50.... I am much wiser now then i was in my 20s and 30s.... I figure people out pretty quickly and if you aren't adding to my life you are missing and you gotta go...I am a master of boundaries.....

Didn't we talk way back when about sort of being the same person in feminine and masculine versions.....

I dumped my thoughts. It was on my mind last night and then I saw Lil's post and I could relate. I'm in a rut. I'm leaving it instead of starting it. I need to get my ass out of my hole. I have classes and certifications that have priority, so it still has to be put on the back burner.
Fix one hole a week...start with the smallest..... baby steps are still steps

I have a 4 inch stack of customer compliments over the years..... but when you r dealing with morally emotionally and physically demanding things every day you learn to compartmentalize and develop a sort of warped sense of humor...or you will go mad....

Many times nurses are treated like slaves and most patients don't care what your name is...they were prob surprised because you treated them nicely....sort of sad 😥

I was in bad shape for awhile. Feeding tube, breathing tube etc. after throat surgery. I did have a private room at Penn in Philly, because the surgeon was a friend of a relative, so maybe that helped. I was on a morphine drip and also fentanyl when needed. The worst thing was the thirst and I could not drink or take ice or anything. They would spray my mouth if i buzzed and always seemed to say the right words because I was miserable for a week. Then as I got better they helped me get around when I could get out of bed. I don't know, they were so very kind IMHO.
