Then the boat guy, Frank, showed up. I climbed up into the boat and threw down all the stuff that was in the storage areas while Frank winterized the motor, and removed the prop and battery. Then we put the giant cover on the boat. It's a 24 ft so the cover is HUGE and unwieldy. Frank did most of the work.

This weekend will also be trying to figure out why my docking station and new laptop aren't getting along. 🙄 I just want stuff to work! Is that too much to ask? 😆😆

It’s not too much to ask. I am sorry you have to deal with jerks for contractors. Frank sounds like a great neighbor. You know you can vent to us🫂

Baby girl you're out there handling things. You're living, you're doing. Life's got its ups and downs, it's twists and turns, but you are more knowledgeable than alot of people and you know what you want and need. Don't let life rule you. You rule life. Do what needs your immediate attention like the questionnaire, then prioritize everything. What needs immediate attention, what can wait, and what can be handled later. You got this, you have been doing this all your life, you're ready and prepared. You can always ask friends and relatives there opinions and help. They would cherish just being asked. Don't let it overwhelm you . Just take a breath, start your list and conquer it...😘🤗💋❤🌹🌹🌹

I was always amazed how guys worked in my industry and couldn't read a tape closer than a quarter. It's your fucking job - learn it!!!


I solved a problem at work one time by knowing a bit of metric conversions. We had a piece which the contractor had not cut the 25mm holes in, so we needed a 25mm Forstner bit to drill them. Of course, there are none. I asked, how much difference would it make if the hole is .44mm too large. I was told that it wouldn't matter. So I said, one inch is 25.44mm and they have one inch Forstner bits all day long. Problem solved.

I always know that a .50 cal machine gun = 12.7mm

Therefore, one inch is roughly 24.5mm. And so on.

I agree. We did miss the boat on that one. Doubt it will come back. Someone would turn it into a big political issue I’m sure.

Morning all!!

Time to tackle the day. We’re gonna sleep in a bit. Was up late watching the baseball game.

Have to find a better desk for working from home. Yes… embarrassed to say I’ve been using an old sawhorse and solid old door for my desk. It’s not cutting the mustard.

Then it’s working at the farm.

No rain so no lawns to mow!

I want to clean out our pole barn this weekend. I gotta get my Torino wagon running. Found mouse droppings inside it which is not good.
