Kamala’s 2024 Presidential Run

You must be joking! The world needs and requires a strong and stable USA now and in the future. Currently the country appears to be tearing itself apart, far worse than the chasm that appeared during the 1960s and the Vietnam War
There were good reasons then for such political and cultural divisions.

Now . . . not so much. The RWs are simply whipping it all up inn a desperate bid to remain relevant -- almost all of their grievances are imaginary non-problems. Immigration is one of those. Immigration does depress working-class wages -- and that is the only downside of it. And even there, it's not so bad.

Look, I get the skepticism toward the Democratic Party elites and establishment, the reservations about Harris in particular over her prosecutorial record (George Gage comes to mind), etc. I get feeling disgust over the choices in front of me. I have been disappointed and annoyed at times at this administration. I get the sense that both nominees are being manipulated and controlled by handlers. I also see that, with Biden out of the race, there is only one candidate in this race that could be said not to be in their right mind, not to be lucid, not to be aware of reality, not to be sane. That candidate is Trump. I see that Trump and Vance are leaning into the fascist, racist, nativist, xenophobic, incendiary, dishonest, stochastic rhetoric, the threats of lawfare on steroids, the threat of political repression, against dissidents, against the press, against the broadcast media, against political opponents of all stripes. I see that Trump and Vance are either lying to themselves, to the American people, and/or both. I see that Trump is ready to abandon our allies at a critical juncture and that he panders at times to Putin and other adversaries of this nation. I don't like the endless wars that waste American blood and treasure, but in spite of the waste and corruption, the effort in Ukraine is a solid bargain that decimates a dangerous enemy nation and its war machine while allowing us to unload outdated gear in a cheap and efficient manner. It should not really be that controversial at all. It's a great deal for everyone involved, except for Putin, of course.

In the end, it comes to this. You can vote for a deranged, demented narcissist with serious, "dark triad" psychiatric disorders/issues, who is in bed with foreign tyrants, domestic religious fanatics, fascists, skinheads, Klansmen, etc., you can vote for a third party and risk being a bystander to history, you can refuse to vote (like my wife), and thus also be a bystander to history, or you can vote for the only candidate with a realistic prospect of keeping that madman out of the White House. Care to guess what I'm going to do?

Or, you know, you could be completely wrong about all of that.

Not about Trump being " a deranged, demented narcissist with serious, "dark triad" psychiatric disorders/issues, who is in bed with foreign tyrants, domestic religious fanatics, fascists, skinheads, Klansmen, etc." He couldn't possibly be wrong about any of that, and you know it.

I see you're still working on self delusion as a method of coping with your fears, hate, and worry that your candidate is tanking faster than, well, a Sherman tank dumped overboard off the coast of France during the invasion.

She's ahead in the polls. And Trump shows no sign of catching up.

You have accused me of belonging to an antiAmerican cult. You have not explained why you made the accusation and which cult. Please explain!!

It says a lot about you and what is IN,not ON your mind to post what you have. It doesn’t worry me at all that you have made a fool of yourself or you think I am an English cultist idiots. I have a very thick skin, so fire at me again but please something relevant and not just platitudes that you spout every single day.

The US isn’t “tearing itself apart.”

MAGAs twist their panties in knots everyday, but that has no actual impact. They’re childish.

Everyone who isn’t a MAGA simply shakes their heads and rolls their eyes at the daily theatrics of the right-wing loons.

Trump wants to invoke the 1798 Alien Enemies Act, a law so horrible that the Jeffersonian Republicans were able to rally people against it (admittedly more due to the Sedition Act, but it was part of the same awful package) and topple the Hamiltonian Federalists from power. Jefferson and Madison both wrote state resolutions against such laws. If John Adams can't get away with it, why should Donald Trump?

What do you want to bet that if someone tells Trump about the 1918 Sedition Act (another truly horrific law), he'll want to invoke that, too?

So, it was worse than W's? It had to be, right, because even W acknowledged his infamous C average.
Here is a little background info on donnie:

His prep school was about to fail him, so his daddy pulled him out and enrolled him in a military academy. He paid someone to take his SAT test, according to his niece. College degree? He has a sixth-grade reading ability and never read prepared Presidental briefs, so take that as an indication of his college life.

Conjecture: Yeah, probably worse the W's grades.

The part about someone being paid to take DonOld’s SATs, etc, was revealed by his niece, but it originated from DonOld’s sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, who was a Federal Judge.

Maryanne Trump Barry also stated that she did DonOld’s homework for him.

😳

DonOld’s family and a corrupt system for the rich helped perpetuate that fraud on America.

SAD!!!

🤬

According to Stephanie Grisham's autobio, they finally figured out how to get Trump to read the Presidential Daily Briefing by crafting a narrative where Trump was the hero (mentioned every other paragraph), and told stories of what Superhero Trump's enemies were up to and how to defeat them.

I still think he doesn't read much because he's too vain to wear reading glasses. That would explain why he signed on the wrong line in that famous video. There are many politicians who find reading more difficult as they age. There are always flunkies with younger eyes to do the reading.
Well, I know that I'm pretty soon gonna have to break down and get readers myself. Smaller print is proving trickier by the day, and my diabetes ain't helpin'....

Kamala Harris Now Leads Donald Trump Among Every Generation: Poll

Kamala Harris is now in the lead among Generation X, Generation Z, millennials, baby boomers and the silent/greatest generations in a new poll.

With less than three weeks until the presidential election on November 5, attention is on what the polls are saying. In general, there are incredibly tight, marginal leads on either side, suggesting a neck-and-neck race.

But a new Marist poll shows Harris enjoying the lead among every generation surveyed between October 8 and 10.

Some 53 percent of Generation Zs (people born between 1997 and 2012) and millennials (born between 1981 and 1996) said they supported Harris, over 47 percent who said they supported Donald Trump.

Meanwhile, Harris enjoyed a 55 percent lead among baby boomers (born between 1946 and 1964) and the silent/greatest generation (born between 1901 and 1927), over Trump's 45 percent.

Curious about the Z/Millenial numbers. They are out of step with every other poll for those generations. ie most polls have Z at upwards of 70%+ for Harris.

We don't elect presidents with the popular vote. Polls which depend on percentage of the popular vote in order to sell the idea that Kamala is winning are LYING TO YOU by making you believe that there's a chance she'll prevail.

Kamala's already down where it counts and fading fast.

Independents Switch Towards Democrats in 9-Point Swing Away From GOP: Poll

Independent voters moved away from Republicans and towards Democrats in a 9 percentage point swing, a new poll shows.

It is less than four weeks until the presidential election on November 5, with the path to victory seemingly available to either former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris in an incredibly tight race.

Gallup, a polling firm that tracks party affiliation monthly, found that 49 percent of independents leaned towards the Democrats while 45 percent leaned towards the Republicans in its most recent survey, carried out between September 16 and 28.

In the poll before this one, where independents were questioned between September 3 and 15, Republicans were in the lead with 50 percent while 45 percent leaned toward Democrats.

Last I saw, Harris was leading in the swing states.

Not by much, just by 1 or 2 points, in each state.
