FLORIDA roll call

I was through there last Jan.
I want to experience bike week once.
There's two chances a year for that basically.
There's Bike Week, but also every year there's Biketoberfest.
Coming up next week actually.
It's more or less the same thing.

Storm is practically over us right now.
Been a couple of power flickers, so lost internet a couple times.
Snuck on right now after the internet and power being on for about an hour solid.
Figured, oh, sure, I think I'll survive to play a little.
NOPE.
Power flickered again within 5 minutes of me going online.

I suppose I shouldn't complain.
I know from watching Milton those whole night others have it much worse.

Anyway, checking in.

Adding to my lad check-in...

Well, finally clear of the hurricane, and it's so very nice to come back without worry.
Made it through Milton safe. House not so much, but luckily only real damage was unimportant things.
No damage that'll make it hard to live, just a lot of cleanup.
Already helped some neighbors clear out sewage drain so the flooded road clears a bit.
It's gonna be a bit to get back to mostly normal.
Eat a dick, nature.

Thanks.
It was one of those things where it could have been much worse, count your lucky stars situations.
All the same, still would have preferred to not go through it.
Again at the same time knowing I shouldn't be complaining since others weren't so lucky with the results.

I understand that. That's all part of living in Florida. When I started talking about moving there a lot of people asked me about dealing with them. At least you have noticed of them. I've been dealing with tornados that have little to no warning.
