14 years ago, AJ (currently d/b/a "@JoePepsiCo") opined that Haitians were "less than human".

He then denied saying what he said, but Butters had receipts and this kicked off AJ's decade long jihad against Butters.

This week, both Donald J Trump and J Dee Vance went public with a full throated defense of AJ's conjecture!

How?

The public affairs person of Springfield, Ohio (population 58,000) lamented the fact that the United States government had been helping Haitian refugees settle right outside of town. The public affairs flack lamented that "crime was up, and dogs were going missing!"

The Trump campaign, never much for subtlety, twisted this press release to the alarmist "HAITIANS ARE STEALING AND EATING AMERICAN DOGS" Both Trump and Vance have been promoting this "fact" at their rallies, despite an absolute lack of proof. It inflames the sensibilities of White patriots, which was the desired result.

I'm sure AJ will take a victory lap around his teepee once the hoverround is fully charged. One suspects @JoePepsiCo feels vindicated bigly.

Unsubstantiated claims, you say?

I've heard that if MAGA supporter repeats and retweets those, they magically become factual. I'll have to check with bB on that though..

Look, what has happened to Haiti is a real tragedy, and unlike some other countries, a massive part in its decline was played by the United States. We went out of our way to make it rough on those slaves who dared to rebel against their white masters....much of it was antebellum Southern outrage over such a notion...and fear of it catching on here in the USA. That being said, at this point, there's nothing much that we can do that won't make things worse. We can take the refugees who can pass the vetting process, I suppose. That's it. That should still be a substantial number, I imagine. For Haiti itself, the options are few and bleak. Some relief from various agencies, but Somalia showed us what can happen to that. When we tried to intervene with force to protect the relief, it was a disaster. History is likely to repeat itself here if we get boots on the ground.

If only we hadn't debt-trapped that place centuries back, but too late for that.

i'm like WOW was that really 14 years ago?!?
Tell me about it!

It took me almost ten minutes to wade through 14 pages of search results.!

...and then when I found your 2014 synopsis, it was linked to the original 2010 "I never said what I just said ten posts ago!" nonsense.

Having said that, there was not a single chance in hell I was going to pass up a chance to provide some context for the recent "Haitians are eating our dogs!" nontroversy.

P.S. Reading through all the dreck, I found that I'd completely forgotten @Aglaopheme used to hate my racist guts.

Never hated you. I call everyone out when they say problematic stuff.

A failed state needs intervention; it’s one of the most challenging to solve, but can’t simply be left to deteriorate even worse than has already happened - and that historic involvement is all the more reason we have to take some active responsibility now

It was fake. Didn’t you read your own linked article?? 😆

DeWine, a Republican, called a Tuesday press conference about the situation in Springfield to dispel rumors that have circulated about the area’s immigrant population, but he didn’t identify the source of the misinformation. U.S. Sen. JD Vance, the GOP candidate for vice president, has been among those to amplify unsubstantiated rumors about crimes committed by Haitian migrants, including that they are eating pet cats. Springfield’s city manager refuted the rumors on Monday.

Here’s your award for posting links that are exactly opposite to what you think they are. 🏆

Wait for the next famine. We may be eating pets. We will eventually be as poor as Haiti, maybe poorer. Intervening in our failed state won't happen. We don't care that much about the many failed states around the world and nobody will care that much about us.

Do Haitians eat cats? (the shocking truth)

byMASTR P.-March 27, 2019

"Do Haitians eat cats" is one of the top 10 most frequently asked questions ask of Haitians in elementary school, middle school, high school, college, and even professional settings.

Unfortunately, many Haitians feel uncomfortable answering this question. I, on the order hand, don't have this problem. This is why I'm going to spill the beans and let you in on this little secret.

The rest here: https://www.haitianreport.com/2019/03/does-haitian-eat-cats.html

Get an education Rob and yes Butter's cat is in danger if she is near any hungry Haitian immigrants. Tens of thousands of Chinese have entered the country illegally and they love to eat dog.

There is evidence of an American woman in Canton eating a cat.

There is no evidence of Haitians doing anything of the sort in Springfield, Ohio.

You dip shits want to keep moving the goal posts when your original statement is proven to be false.

The only real purpose of the rumor is for you assholes to dehumanize people because you're racist and need something to blame to try to legitimize your racism.

You will perhaps note, despite our differences on several questions of late, that I have not repeated this slur about Haitians eating pets. Nor do I intend to do so. I have cats. I don't feel that my cats are in any peril from Haitians knocking at my door to abduct and consume them and I've never heard of any such case.

Marianne Williamson predicts 'eating cats issue' will hurt Dems in election: 'Haitian voodoo is real'

Blaze News
September 12, 2024

Residents in Springfield, Ohio, have reported in social media posts that Haitian migrants are capturing and eating pets, but local law enforcement have said they have no such confirmed reports. The issue has gone viral on social media and was used by Vice President Kamala Harris to try to paint former President Donald Trump as unhinged during the debate.

"Haitian voodoo is in fact real," she added, "and to dismiss the story out-of-hand rather than listen to the citizens of Springfield, Ohio confirms in the minds of many voters the stereotype of Democrats as smug elite jerks who think they’re too smart to listen to anyone outside their own silo."

Regardless of the pet-eating issue, residents have demanded that local officials do something to mitigate the effects of a large influx of migrants into their community.

"Let me be clear: This is not about race. This is about people being given the privilege of coming here from another country and having no respect for our people, our land, or our life's work. People living their life here the way they did in Haiti," said one resident to the Springfield commission.

Right after you show me where I said they were inferior to us.
You certainly implied it in shitposts 15 and 21 when you quoted two hit pieces about eating cats.

Naturally, you hid behind the words of others when the topic is controversial because we all know you lack the intestinal fortitude to stand on your own two feet.

You routinely hide behind the words of others as an adult, just like you hid behind mommy's skirt as a child.

You appear to believe that hiding behind the words of others gives you "plausible deniability", which you are attempting to claim right now.

They do eat cats in Haiti. I proved that yesterday. It's a cultural difference in time. American Indians and mountain men trapping in the western mountains thought Mountain Lions were delicacy. We eat beef, sheep, chickens, pigs and turkey. The Chinese eat dog, the Haitians eat cats both are not accepted here. At present the Haitian people as a whole are backward and out of control. It's why so many of them are coming here. They can't govern themselves in Haiti where it is rumored that rival gangs of Haitians are chopping up their enemies and cooking them them in the street. Yes it s a fact that cannibalism is a part of Haiti's history in fact in 1859:

The Cannibalism Trial That Shook Haiti

Nov 15, 2023

Geffrard, who was a Catholic, took office in 1859 and immediately went to work stamping out the occult practices that had been allowed to flourish under Soulouque. He ordered the destruction of Voodoo temples and altars and the arrest of those suspected of cannibalism.

On March 18, 1864, eight women and men were shot to death in the public square of Port-au-Prince, after having been convicted of "stealing, killing, cooking and eating children". One correspondent from the New York News named described the scene:

One of the negroes being questioned in prison, said with a leer that children 'were good, tender, fingers best part.' They went to the place of execution shouting, laughing and dancing, and defying the soldiers to shoot them; for they insisted that the Obeah priests would protect them against the balls. They fell, however, at the second round, and, according to the custom, the soldiers walked up to the bodies and fired a third round with the muzzles almost touching the quivering flesh

Perhaps the first claims of cannibalism that reached the United States were from Christian missionaries who visited the island during the reign of Faustin Soulouque. However, many secularists disregarded these claims as sensationalized accounts created by religious zealots. It wasn't until 1864 when the long-murmured allegations of cannibalism were proven true, when Soulouque's successor, Fabre Geffrard, had eight convicted cannibals executed after a six-year-old girl was killed and eaten by Voodoo practitioners
