College Volleyball Player?

Thinking of starting a series about a college volleyball player. I typically write in one or two specific ways, but open to ideas about what direction to take it!

If so, maybe there's a point early on where the rest of the team puts her through a hazing ritual...

It would be a female player, yes.

Hazing rituals are always a creative way to introduce a character. Never know what sort of crazy things people can think of

Another challenge early on could just be the player trying to summon up the courage and get over her embarrassment of wearing the team uniform, which happens to be a very, VERY skimpy thong bikini, perhaps even skimpier than the pic shown and having to wear it in public.

If she's at her college on a volleyball championship, she'd have no choice, but to wear the thong bikini at games and other public events.

Alternatively, she could really be into that and maybe finding it, "freeing".

Another creative AND realistic idea for sure. Maybe coming from a more conservative school where the uniforms are full jerseys and decent length shorts. She's on a scholarship and has to play, otherwise maybe she can't afford the schooling. That would really put her in a pickle

Colleges typically don’t do beach volleyball: they look more like this.

Now not to say people don’t find those outfits hot but I would say if you want the bikini idea, take the previously mentioned hazing idea (all freshmen have to play a pre season scrimmage match against the upperclassmen while wearing tiny bikinis. Has a humiliation angle that could also take a turn (freshmen ask what happens if they win, seniors thinking there’s no chance, especially once the freshmen have to start covering up, agree to be their slaves for a day/week. Then our MC, a prodigy player, rallies her team to victory, despite most of them being naked by the end.

A great point. Those uniforms are typically the norm and could very well keep the realism alive. But definitely could twist it to use the scrimmage idea. That would teach the freshmen humility and be a great way for the seniors to take advantage.

I'd say, go with whatever option is sexier for you and/or serves the story best.

Alternatively, the Coach could just be a non-factor in the stories.

Also true. Though having an authority figure around may not be all bad.

Though on the other hand, im sure the seniors on the team would be plenty authoritative.

Some schools also have male volleyball teams as well, so between the girls team and the boys team, there could be additional interactions.

When I see girls playing volleyball I see legs and legs and legs (speaking from a guys point of view). Maybe a coach being molested or a guy inadvertently going into the wrong locker room. The visiting teams use the men's locker rooms, in some schools.

Well considering most of us can’t write at all, whatever you come up with would be infinitely better than what most of us could come up with!

Intense coach removes full uniform privileges (i.e. “you don’t deserve to wear that uniform!) from the team after a bad loss… players have to “earn” pieces of the uniform back thru various challenges in practice.

In the end, “uniform privileges” get flipped backward and instead of earning them back, someone has to earn them off. Knee pads are last.

the earning them back part could be fun for sure. Could certainly see that happening to an extent after a bad series of losses for sure!

Leaning toward a single main character for the story, then follow her with interactions with all the others potentially. A simple name like Jenna or Katey or something... maybe slightly timid in public settings, slightly tall due to the volleyball aspect, a bit insecure.

Any kind of athletics lets you have things like athletic trainers, masseurs, personal trainers, etc. They can be anything from seducer/seduced to kidnappers. Maybe one gets bribed to exhaust the team's star player by fucking the living daylights out of them an hour before the big game. (You can decide if it works, or leaves them strangely full of energy.)

If you wanted to do an exhibitionist story, someone sabotages The Main Character's shorts/jersey so they gradually fall apart.

A reporter knows a scandalous story about The Main Character and threatens to publish it, unless they give her dirt on the coach (which would be a better story). They have to get pictures of the coach fucking another player.

Subtler story: the star of the opposing team is The Main Character's high school sweetheart, who they dumped cruelly 4 years before. They feel bad now, but will High School Sweetheart take revenge somehow?

A shoe company wants an endorsement contract. They send a very sexy representative to persuade The Main Character. Is this sex as a bribe, or does Sexy Representative really like them?
