Disaster for Trump as less than half of RFK Jr voters switch to former president

A new poll shows that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. voters are not all aboard the Donald Trump train, as Vice President Kamala Harris will also grab a sizeable chunk.

The national poll by The Democracy Institute and Daily Express US surveyed 250 likely voters who had planned to vote for independent candidate RFK Jr before he quit the race for the White House on 23 August.

According to the data, only 49% of RFK supporters will back Trump.

Meanwhile, 25% will back Harris, and the rest are either undecided or will not vote.

I think over half will stay home. The rest are insignificant.

And I don't mean to say the poll is wrong....I just think it was done too close to RFKjr dropping out. Their enthusiasm will wane over time.

RFK jr's not getting his way lately: he wanted his name OFF the Montana (? i think it was Montana) ballot because it might draw votes away from trump, and then took his bid to stay ON the NY ballot (after lying about his permanent residency status and because being on it could draw votes from Harris) through the various courts right up to the top.

The Supreme Court has turned down a bid by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be placed on the presidential ballot in New York.

The high court released its decision in a one-line order Friday afternoon.

Kennedy’s campaign gathered more than 100,000 signatures to win him a place on the ballot in the Empire State, but Democrats brought a court challenge arguing that Kennedy did not actually live at the address in Katonah, New York, that he submitted to elections officials.

Kennedy said he began renting a room in the home of a childhood friend in Katonah last year, but the friend's wife testified that he had only stayed there overnight once.

New York courts ordered Kennedy removed from the ballot, and his efforts to overturn those rulings struck out with a federal district judge and at the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals before coming up short Friday at the nation’s highest court.

i am pretty disgusted that something as clear-cut as this, his being qualified to be on there a non-starter plus his not even running for the position any more, had to go through even the most basic of courts, let alone go through multiple courts only to be referred to SCOTUS. What a waste of resources, what a time-sink that could be better used to deal with ACTUAL cases in need of consideration. Fucker should be fined.

He's staying on the ballot in Wisconsin.

I can't imagine just how brazen of an asshole one has to be to be so openly in the tank for Trump - all while claiming his candidacy was for America. Now it's just blatant maneuvering to try to influence the election.
