I haven't been there as a patron in years. I think it was Carrie Underwood's first concert.
I lived in South Hill for 18 yrs, so I knew the pain back then before I moved to where I am now.
Luckily, there's a few back ways I can use to get to where I am going.

The back roads are always important to know! Especially during Fair time!

It is a beautiful city! I was a Dependent Brat; my dad was stationed in Italy. U of Maryland had a campus there. I only went for a year.

I fell into a hole a few weeks ago. I was cleaning a streambank that was eroding and the bank collapsed. I got stuck up to my waist in the roots in the front and the new streambank behind me. No one was around and it took me a good 15-20 minutes to get myself to back out.

That must have been scary, W!

I’m all caught up.

Made one last trip to NYC to finish cleaning out my moms place. The end of an era.

My sisters were amazing and when I got there all I needed to do was move so me heavy furniture. They’d boxed everything up. Bubble wrapped all the big paintings and pics.

Pretty easy move.

Teamwork makes the dream work! So glad your sisters were able to help like that!

With waking up at 2:45 am and having a certain marathon all morning, I crashed when I got home from dropping my kid off at her friends (just in case my plans came through) got home and crashed hard. I woke up at nine thinking it was morning, got a cup of coffee and then realized it's evening. I must have been tired! I don't like crashing during the day for this reason!!

I also missed out on a crab/shrimp boil because of it! Not happy at all

I'm sorry this happened, Wat. I hate it when people deviate from agreements. I, too, have trust issues!

Truthfully, it is better than before, so there's that. And the bit of damage had caused the inner fender to begin to rub the tires, and now that's fixed, too. So I'll just shut up about it then.

I wasn't clear. The tractor was buried behind the two trailers, one of which is a pain in the ass to move. Tractor removal wasn't as big a pain in the ass as feared.

A busy day ahead today. I took the old electric fence down yesterday. I just need to get to the Agni store for a few new bits and rebuild with new insulators. Then it’s get all the grass cut!

I cut the South 40 yesterday with the bush hog. It does better on taller and rougher stuff. It also could use to have the blade sharpened, most likely. I did find a good looking deal on a finish cutter that will work behind this tractor and sent the guy a message to see if we can get this done while I'm here today. Thank the gawds for ATMs.


Good news about cutting is the ride-around check of the fenceline. And one of the horses (the goofball) lost his flymask, and I was able to find it.

I’m all caught up for the next 11 milliseconds.. Leaving to visit my mom shortly and then to the shore where I’ll meet my wife.

She saw Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jikes last nite with some of her friends at the legendary Stone Pony nightclub . I’m gonna meet her today and then we’re gonna see a indie country band, called Waxahatchee tonite at the Stone Pony. They’re really good.

Truth be told I don't know how not to be. I grew up with guy friends a group of them and we all were like this. My parents/grandparents tried to "DiNozzo slap" it out of me when I was in High School. Also, I have been trying to be better in here

I hate it when that happens to me! This past week, I had several nights when I popped awake after just a few hours.

I was up till after 2 last night and popped awake at 6 this morning. I feel like I slept good though. Probably because I fell asleep yesterday after I got home from dropping the kid off and slept till 9
