The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

And one time when I was a kid in the car with my mom dad and little sister, the one hit by Wild Cherry came on the radio. I asked my dad if they were saying "Play that fucky music, white boy."

My dad looked back at me like he was going to break my jaw. But he just said, "No. And don't ever say that word again."
And one time, at band camp...

And Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light? I would still swear he's singing, "Blinded by the light. Wrapped up like a douche, you know the roner in the night." Which is obviously wrong and doesn't make any sense at all. When I finally learn what they're actually singing, I'm going to feel like an idiot all over again.
I just read these lyrics not long ago. He says revved up like a duece, another runner in the night. A duece is an old car that was nicknamed "Coup Duece"

yeah - not just FL
when BFF lived in TX they had the bug service out monthly for spiders and snakes
nope! none for me, thanks
I am the bug service at home. The management refuses to go in any room with a spider in it! Snakes aren’t really an issue here. We have though had a lot of serious incidents of dogs being bitten by adders this year.

The CRV without AWD gets better mileage, but that ain't what she has. This would/will be an improvement. I told her that she's going to have to make appointments to get it cleaned so it doesn't look like a pigpen.

My truck does around 16 in town and 22-23 on the road, and for a nearly 3 ton vehicle with 4x4 and all that kinda crap, I don't think that's too shabby.

We drive ore than you do, apparently.
My hybrid is AWD; I wanted to make sure I could get around during the dark months. We never know if we will get snow. But when we do, it's wet snow that freezes. Too many hills here to safely go without AWD. The truck is a half-ton (I think) and 4 X 4.

I don't drive much now that I'm retired. When I was working, I drove a lot. I have been the driver since my husband was declared legally blind in 2009. I don't really like driving that much. It's a luxury for me to be a passenger.

Good morning Wat. So you leave this coming Friday?

The heat and rain are back. Today is liquid diet day as prep for the colonoscopy tomorrow morning. Only one cup of coffee allowed this morning ☹️
The hardest part of a colonoscopy is the prep. Once you get in the procedure room, your IV is started, and meds given, you'll be in la-la land! 🫂🫂

It’s the same same thing every year pretty much, but we work at the historical Society table and it’s always a bit of a trip.

And yeah, people watching is always fun! We had really good people on either side of our booth: someone we know from the Hall of records, and a really nice lady from a Service that does interventions on behalf of abused women and spouses.

And no matter what - I always run into someone I knew from my past or people I know.

Because I was dealing with my mom on Tuesday, which was the vegetable and crop day, we did not enter anything into the fair for judging. 🙁
You should enter some of your flowers! 😍

Scary. When I moved in to my house I was out back and heard angry buzzing looked down and my left foot was about 3 inches from where a hornet crawled out of the ground. Must have been a small one... I left them alone and they left me alone
IMG! I would have been calling the exterminator! I'm so allergic! 😱😱
