Good morning, how’s your weekend going so far?

It started with a Toyota Corolla Cross hybrid and then worked its way to a RAV4 hybrid. Think: 40MPG. She could save a bunch of money on gasoline as much as she's driving these days, and her older Honda CRV is AWD and gets half that mileage.

I have a hybrid. The best gas mileage I've gotten is 36, but I rarely drive for long distances. It's mostly short hops for me. But this guy sips gas! Unlike my truck!

There was the one day we went to town for breakfast and he was staring SW as usual, and as we rode past his field of vision, we looked, and there were 10 small deer walking across the other field. That day, we knew what he was looking at.

Maybe he wanted to go play!

Happy Sunday!!! Slept okay. The shooping list is mostly made. It's 60 out there as the heat is making a return in the next day or 2. Geezer cat just walked through here going from Here to There. He is frail, but he's still awake and aware and alert - well, when he's awake. And he's still pleasant. And he keeps up his grooming.


There's the shooping and then there's some cooking and packing and loading of the truck to get ready to head Out West.

The CRV without AWD gets better mileage, but that ain't what she has. This would/will be an improvement. I told her that she's going to have to make appointments to get it cleaned so it doesn't look like a pigpen.

My truck does around 16 in town and 22-23 on the road, and for a nearly 3 ton vehicle with 4x4 and all that kinda crap, I don't think that's too shabby.

We drive ore than you do, apparently.

I learned to drive on an Allis Chalmers Model B tractor at the age of 9 in 1964. At age 11, we got a Model CA. The family biz then got a WD45. And, they still use the 45, but most of the work is now done by AWD John Deere's.
