Former UFC champ Ronda Rousey apologizes for 2013 Sandy Hook conspiracy video: "I've regretted it every day of my life"

"I've regretted it every day of my life since and will continue to do so until the day I die," she continued.

Rousey ended her apology by reminding anyone who has "fallen down the black hole of bull***" and conspiracy theories that it "doesn't make you edgy, or an independent thinker."

"They will only make you feel powerless, afraid, miserable and isolated. You're doing nothing but hurting others and yourself," she cautioned. "No matter how long you've gone down the wrong road, you should still turn back."

better late (and heartfelt) than never...

can't help but wonder, though, why she decided to break her silence now; did someone dig it up and she's getting this in first (even if she had wanted to but buried it for 11 years) or has it to do with what we've been seeing at the DNC?

I was wondering this too. Could be those reasons. Also, maybe she saw that documentary about Alex Jones' trial...
 
Wow, I had completely forgotten about Ronda Rousey and Sandy Hook.

Speaking of pro wrestlers shooting their mouths off, I noticed the Hulkster cut a promo two days ago about how much he wanted to bodyslam Kamala Harris.

He's so irrelevant now it didn't make a ripple in the headlines.

I'd like to choose to believe she was just human in her actions, somewhat ashamed at having posted it and growing more ashamed and fearful of reactions if she brought it up in the later years. It's never a great thing to do, because if she'd have just acted at the time with an apology for her own ignorance it would have been a lot smaller of an issue. The years have seen it grow inside her like a cancer, hurting herself in her silence.

yeah, she's got a book coming out, but the 'story' wasn't included in her book after being persuaded otherwise by her publisher.

The way I took jaFO's post was more to do with the comments her post received... how it would be public knowledge and so she had to get out in front of it anyway. But the first comment showing does state she did apologise soon after posting the vid in question, which I didn't know. Either way, it seems jaFO's got the drop on this: get out ahead of the story as damage control.
