The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I had a spreadsheet like that once. After the umpteenth time of fixing it, it magically turned into an access database with a switchboard. Forced them to enter the required information. Miss a field? it won't save - you get an error. Put in the wrong format when it clearly tells you what it's asking for? Won't save and you get an error message. When we got a new supervisor she wanted to open it back up again. We had story time and the database stayed until I left.
"Story time!" 🤣🤣🤣

They are not dumb...lazy...which is worse. In our weekly meeting this morning one of them straight up told me that it was my job to enter data and teams. In front of the manager. I had a really messed up look on my face, and she started to laugh. Because we had this conversation yesterday about how they never talk about you to me, and how I must just be overreacting to my frustration regarding my team. And I said well you know there's two things I could be overreacting, but I don't think they'll ever come to you because they've learned to function in the dysfunction. And I can only fight for so long, and if you think that I'm going to let documents go out with my name on them that look like junk you don't know me very well. I did say it nicer than that, but not much nicer. My manager and I get along great. She got a big eye opening experience with that though
Gotta love it when your peers self-own. 🙄🙄

Think about that one longtime GI and then listen to your guts and not your head. Meanwhile, close off the bits you aren't using so as not to heat/cool them. Close the vents. Look in on them once a month to make sure they haven't fallen down. Live peacefully otherwise. Or sell the house and buy something smaller.

Think very hard about a housemate.
This is good advice! I'm fairly particular and also have trust issues. I could never just have a stranger here.

If we are going there, I prefer to do that much more often than 3 moths. It's relaxing, I'd probably do that every day. Poor poor guy when that chance finally happens. I already know the flouriest I will use to send flowers to his family..
You are absolutely right, Impy! Daily maintenance is always best! I'm sure you will have a line at your door! When you wear out the current one, just know he went with a big smile on his face! 🤣😅😈

The only pisser with a heat pump is, the life expectancy isn't all that long - like 10-12 years. Outside a/c units will go 20-25 years, and gas furnaces will last at least that long. I think that if I were installing a new HVAC system from scratch and that gas was available to the area, that I'd do the gas furnace with electric a/c and forego the heat pump.
We do have a gas furnace. The heat pump is over 10 years old. AFAIK it's still working fine. Should I have it checked?
