The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

It makes ya mad because it's like they aren't even trying to do it correctly. At least I would hope they aren't that dumb!

I wish you didn't have to work with the incompetent.

They are not dumb...lazy...which is worse. In our weekly meeting this morning one of them straight up told me that it was my job to enter data and teams. In front of the manager. I had a really messed up look on my face, and she started to laugh. Because we had this conversation yesterday about how they never talk about you to me, and how I must just be overreacting to my frustration regarding my team. And I said well you know there's two things I could be overreacting, but I don't think they'll ever come to you because they've learned to function in the dysfunction. And I can only fight for so long, and if you think that I'm going to let documents go out with my name on them that look like junk you don't know me very well. I did say it nicer than that, but not much nicer. My manager and I get along great. She got a big eye opening experience with that though

I had a spreadsheet like that once. After the umpteenth time of fixing it, it magically turned into an access database with a switchboard. Forced them to enter the required information. Miss a field? it won't save - you get an error. Put in the wrong format when it clearly tells you what it's asking for? Won't save and you get an error message. When we got a new supervisor she wanted to open it back up again. We had story time and the database stayed until I left.
We are working on that.... all these flowchart flowsheet databases we have to use make and create is not sustainable when we have 4 people qnd qe supporting 200 practices.

I fixed a spreadsheet and all they had to do is copy how to enter data...last name first, first name...... nope didn't do it, fill in dob xx/xx/xxxx...nope didn't do it. Use standard naming conventions...... like HCC 18 diabetes with chronic complication....nope didn't do it... misspelled or dm with ckd... not standard naming convention... follow instructions is right

I learned that when I was 20. I had an insulting boss who railed about "failure to follow simple instructions." I hated him until I heard him and determined he was (is) correct.

I check the online obituaries from time to time hoping to see his.

:D

I considered a long term room rental. After one 30 day rental, I decided never again. There was nothing wrong with the renter, I just did not like the idea of someone being in the same house as I am. I guess I’m just getting older.😂
I've been wondering if I should consider a renter. My house is far too big for just me and my dog. However, like you, I don't know if I would tolerate someone else in the house with me.

Think about that one longtime GI and then listen to your guts and not your head. Meanwhile, close off the bits you aren't using so as not to heat/cool them. Close the vents. Look in on them once a month to make sure they haven't fallen down. Live peacefully otherwise. Or sell the house and buy something smaller.

Think very hard about a housemate.
