Heat pumps don't work well below a certain temp as well. They freeze and shutdown. From what I've heard...

This is true, and that is why they have electric back-up "strip" heat. It shows on the t-stat as "emergency heat." That means that your electric meter is in danger of spinning so fast that it'll come off the house and go into orbit.


That may be a bit over-dramatized, but you get the picture.
 
Im a few pages behind I think. Up early to drive to Philly for the day. Looking forward to the people and meetings there but not the commute.

Luckily the 4H fair and tractor pulls are tonite, and I’ll meet my wife there. It’s only an hour from Philly and 30 minutes south of us so it’s actually good logistically. Wife will catch a ride with some friends and I’ll bring her home.

Eat some fun fair food for dinner.

Speaking of, I had to go to a sit-down with the dipshit drywall butcher and his boss, who was pissed. When I showed up - they called me to come to the office like in grade school - everyone got more pleasant. All I did was squint at them a little. And I didn't apologize. There were no repercussions. Someone may be having a few shots of tequila tonight to assuage his hurt widdle feelers . . . .
