The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Bless you, my child. That's a lot like work.

The landlady bought herself a battery powered Milwaukee chain saw with a 12A battery. I can trust her with that. Kinda. Situational Awareness isn't always her thing.
Know what you mean about spacial awareness. The management's mother was like that. I used to work in the butchers with her. Many is the time the woman swung a bloody great knife past my face pointing to something a customer asked for in the window. Fortunately my reactions were good enough to get my head out of the way. Hence it remains on my shoulders.

Is there a classification for too much Coffee?

Classification? There's no such thing.

Happy Monday!!! Second week at the new gig. Got my groceries ready to take in with me. We have a new Monday morning Situational Awareness meeting - I just made that name up. It'll be what happened last week and what's on tap for this week. I guess - it's new, so we'll see. Anyway. Cup #1, catching up, and getting ready, so to speak.

Seasonal Affective Disorder. It's light related - lack of light. Think: mid-winter depression. There's a line, "in the bleak midwinter," and I understand.
closest thing I have is hurricane days and even those are bright. No wonder I didn't know. I live in the sunshine state. I think I would be ok, since I live like a hermit and have to avoid most supper sunny days anyways

Edited: I forgot to say thank you. I've been wondering. Didn't come up with my Google. Prolly cause lactation is OvrlyfcknSumy

I doubt that it occurs in Florida. I've been down to visit around the turn of the calendar and felt it hit me on the first day back to work in the cold. Then again, in the mid-Atlantic, it can be 70* on New Years and snowing 18" three days later. I've seen that with my own eyes.

Our winter is 85 one day and the next day have a touch of 50 and then the next day is back to 85. We locals call it our bipolar winter weather. It lasts a few months at most. One day I will move more north

I would just have to get in the habit of wearing shoes most days that cover my feet

Based on my observation of two of them, I prefer winters Out West to the ones Back East. Out West had cold and a couple of snows and some windybits, but it also didn't seem to suck as much. Clothing is required - shoes, too.

TDK is burrowing under the afghan. That's always funny.

Out west was much nicer heat. Lack of humidity is always nice. When I was in NC mountains visiting, I would go out int he morning 25 degree in my robe flipflops sit and have coffee. It was soooooo nice! Then I put my boots on and go for a hike.

There can be miserable days anywhere. The trick is to remember that this ain't the rest of our lives. We had a very cold 36 hours over Xmas of 2022 Out West. Mommy made the Pasture Poodles spend that night in the barn and they all acted like they had been rounded up to go to the abbottoir. Next morning, she let them out and they all came rushing back into the barn in about 3 minutes with the "why are you being mean to us?" look. Silly goofs.
