Good morning all. One reason I come here I feel safe about venting (not politics or religion): This morning I learned social security was hacked, my personal information is on the black web, and it’s going to rain all weekend. So I am changing passwords on everything. My late wife’s information was also affected and I have to deal with that too.

I'm so sorry. We had our SS# taken while at a hospital dealing with my soon to be ex having a blood clot in his knee while I was 5 months pregnant. Made me so mad when they filed and no red flags went off to alert the gov't. Took 2 years to get that back. My card getting hacked at the end of July was a mess too. Still not sure I have everything switched over. My email which I've had since college has been on the black web for about a decade now. I refuse to get rid of it and change it. Nothing has come of it being there. Just hackers aggravate me

Well, doesn't that just sucks monkey nuts??!? User names, passwords, and add whatever else you can find. I had a credit card get hacked last month. I had a touch of that last month, damn them.

I have 3 cards I use regularly, so I'm never "out" if it should happen. I carry very little cash any more.

About 10 year ago, my bank account got hacked and cleaned out. On Christmas. Yeah . . . .

My bank is really good at catching them and stopping them before too much gets taken. But Christmas! I'd be so mad! They told me to try and use my card with a person. Never a slide or insert devise and it should help stop it. Gas station pump is where I was hit last month.

Tapping is supposed to prevent that - I think. It works - sometimes. I dunno. I kinda figured it's the 21st century cost of doing business.

They told me the devises age getting better and it was best just to not use them I haven't used them except at a teller since, but we lose that convenience

I never use my debit card except to get cash. I only use my credit card as it’s more protected. My credit union is good about alerting me to transactions. I’m doing the change passwords now.

Indeed it is! I had colleagues tell me critical thinking could not be taught. I differed mightily with them. I could, and did, teach critical thinking.

I think can be taught to most.. there are relatively few that don't have it because they are to far in the other side of the brain..... I think what can't be taught is intuition. I have great intuition.

I would have times when I would be at the desk charting or eating lunch and I would get a thought in my head "go check on room 5" and every single time there would be an issue. That little voice or uncomfortable feeling in my belly never steered me wrong.... or some little tiny thing would be different and I would have an inkling of a problem. I would call a doc and he would blow me off...the next am I would find out the patient had a bigger problem and was transferred to icu.....
