The teacher/student thing is not as appealing a scenario as it used to be. I have a partial story in my files about a teacher running into one of her former student years later and at first she doesn't recognize him because he's changed a lot, but he recognizes her. Yadda yadda yadda, they hook up. The story has a little more detail, but this is gist of it.

It’s a community college, so all the girls are legal age. I don’t think there’s any rule against actually dating someone who’s significantly younger than me at college . While the temptation is there, I haven’t had the audacity to act on temptation, and I don’t think there’s any interest there.

If you're their teacher, you'd be in big trouble. That would be fundamental breach of trust, and in some countries a sackable offence.

To weigh in on the topic as a whole though: like anything it can be done well or fail miserably. I mean incest/taboo is still probably the biggest genre on here and IRL involves dynamics that are WAY more of a minefield than a teacher getting with a student.

I will say when there is a teacher/student story I like to have an absurd element mixed in with it as it makes my brain go “okay, we’re just here to have fun”

For example, there’s a story on here where a Lesbian teacher has been having sex with her student (18 senior) and gets blackmailed along with her student to effectively get into an obstacle course of tasks where each of them learn a bit more about themselves (like Teacher has to seduce her niece, student has to seduce her mom and both of them learn a bit more about their connections (it’s a weird story but it’s done well).

Otherwise I tend to prefer one offs, like for example: one idea I thought of a couple weeks ago was about a girl (18 senior) who is supposed to be spending the night at her friend’s but sneaks back to her parents’ house and finds out they’re having a swingers party. She hides in a room and one of her teachers comes in. He doesn’t know it’s her (lights are out or limited lighting, thinking she’s one of the younger women who showed up to the party. He gets her consent without her revealing who she is and she gets railed by her teacher with only her knowing.

Though as mentioned above, the best way is just to have the student and teacher get together after the student graduates. Maybe they each had a crush on the other but they don’t get to resolve it until the power dynamics are no longer/less of a factor

I will say the one type of story I don’t like is the “ah ha! I know you cheated on this test! Now you have to sleep with me!”

Like, who has more to lose if the truth is exposed? Especially since one failed test would probably still get them a diploma and if they are seniors they probably have a college lined up (if they are going).

“Yes officer, I blackmailed her for sex but since she decided to rat me out, I’ll tell the truth! She changed her scantron answers on her ACT after she was told to put her pencil down! …why are you taking me away, I’m clearly less of a monster than that.”
