Day 14: A song that you’re surprised you love

I'm not usually taken by instrumental music. More than anything I love vocalists, singers, lyrics, but Eric Johnson has a way of making his guitar... speak. He has a story to tell and he conveys it so well.

And just look at those fingers dancing

Eric Johnson - Cliffs of Dover

Day 13: A song that you can listen to over and over again.

Over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over and over
which is pretty apt for a song that loops
over and over and over and
over and over and over and
over and over and over.

Not to put too fine a point on it.

This is one of the charming songs ever laid down.

Day 13: A song that you can listen to over and over again

"Cause every time you say you're gonna go
I just smile, 'cause babe, I already know
You know I got nothin' under this overcoat

Ooh, let the light in
At your back door yelling 'cause I wanna come in
Ooh, turn your light on
Look at us, you and I, back at it again"

I love this song so much.

Day 13: A song that you can listen to over and over again

This prompt could appear monthly til the day I die and I wouldn't come close to running out of answers. There are individual artists that have double digit songs that would fit here.
I'm going to try to use a song I haven't used previously. This artist gets close to double digits as a solo artist but when you include his work with Genesis, he's in.

Peter Gabriel - Solsbury Hill

Day 13: A song you can listen to over and over again:
I am not a fan of most of this song, but it has one of the finest last verses in rock and roll.

"I woke last night to the sound of thunder
How far off I sat and wondered?
Started hummin' a song from 1962
Ain't it funny how the night moves?
When you just don't seem to have as much to lose
Strange how the night moves
With autumn closin' in..."
