So far I see a campaign filled with lots of mudslinging but little substance. What I want to know is if your candidate is elected what are the first three issues/problems you want them to address?

What is the best way they can solve these problems?

What I want to do is steer y’all away from politics to issues that affect us all and try to get a handle on which issues are most important to which group of people and are there solutions.

As a few examples: the high cost of rent and housing, the high cost of medical treatment, border security, and election integrity to name a few. If Tim Walz was an assistant coach or a head coach has absolutely no effect on my life, to cost of the drugs I have to take if unaffordable could literally kill me.

What political issues are the most pressing? Why? What are the solutions? Who has the best plan to solve the problem Harris/Trump?

ok, I am still fuzzy on how much the below can be achieved via presidential work and how much is state-determined, but these are my choices.

Education: good, free education for all will mean a lot of what follows easier to handle

Climate: this one, single issue will affect every single person in the world, from people dying of heat to flooding ruining the integrity of soil meaning failed crops/starvation to the threat to life from fires/tornadoes/hurricanes

Healthcare—including abortion and mental healthcare: availability of good quality healthcare every single American (and those living in America) can access and afford

Food security for those in need

Housing: increase the number of social housing programmes and initiatives for truly (not just the token few condos in one building) affordable housing because NO-ONE should be forced to live on the streets, especially when it is now effectively criminalised in some states.

Prison/Jail reforms: no matter what a person is inside for, once under the care of the USA gov't they should be treated humanely, not-for-profit, and should spend their sentences without fear of violence from either inmates or staff

SCOTUS reform: term limits, a hard rule not to be able to accept 'gifts', increasing the numbers to reflect the circuits(?) and establish definitive rules of acceptable behaviours... such as not promoting any political party's policies but entrenching decisions in the history and legality of law.

Presidential non-immunity: to establish, fully and swiftly, that no-one is above the law

The troops would be embarrassingly defeated. At that moment the USA would enter a steeper phase of decline. The president and that president's party is at least severely damaged. The fallout could destroy both parties. Biden's term has been as approximately catastrophic as I expected, but he has mostly dodged the blame, since the consequences are long term and still building. The next president won't be that lucky. I prefer the one who stays out of stupid wars, but either candidate will probably fall on a few grenades.

The Republican Party is already destroyed. For the foreseeable future the fate of the Republic will be determined by the Democrats.

Free up to what level? Grammar School, High School, Undergrad, Graduate School?

unfortunately, that takes a global effort however, the USA and China are probably the biggest offenders and we should attempt to clean up our act.

Yes, to what you said. What about term limits for the SCOTUS To be honest I haven't seen either party address that issue, Biden spoke out about it but that's the only mention of that issue I am aware of.

yes, I feel the president should be held accountable to a larger degree than the rest of us. I don't have dozens/hundreds of the best legal minds in the country to oversee my every more. I could accidentally and unknowingly break the law. A president should never break the law and has no excuse to do so.

I agree I feel the only reason we should send troops in harm's way is if there is a clear and present danger to this nation. But it is complicated how far do we go the support our allies? Which allies do we support?

The war on drugs is a complete failure. People still use drugs. Organized crime, cartels and gangs are thriving on drug money. The same failure of alcohol prohibition demonstrated that legalization is better.

everything from pre-school through high-school, and through college/uni so long as people are actively working towards achieving their grades and not just fucking around.

post-graduate scholars? i don't know for sure but perhaps with the caveat 'free at the point of education but if the student then leaves the country to work abroad for a non-american business or emigrate to another country before ten years has passed since completion, then they owe that educational money to America and it can be reclaimed from their earnings.'

edit: i suppose there might be exceptions, such as Doctors without Borders/Unicef, that kind of aid worker.

Enriching the American education system is always always beneficial to America as a whole.

Under the law and especially in the courtroom everyone is supposed to be equal but because the rich can hire experts and teams of lawyers there is a two-tier justice system. I'm not sure how to fix that problem or if the problem can be fixed.

While we can vote against and vote out Christian Nationalists they certainly have a right to have their voices heard and effect national policy. The only thing that can be done is to educate people about the policies Christian Nationalists want in place and inspire everyone to voice their opinions and let the ballot box decide. But Christian Nationalists are often well organized and highly motivated.

And lots of other things, like abortion rights, immigration, the economy, geopolitical alliances, etc. But this isn't a normal election cycle.

I agree education is always beneficial to America as a whole. I would be OK with free education up to college and then making college very affordable say $3K a semester books, labs, and meals are included in that number. So a four-year degree would cost you $24K. that I believe would be affordable to someone who works at Wal-Mart or MacDonald's.

I think I carry over the $3K a semester for a graduate degree sans books.
