Happy Friday!!! Soggy here and humid AF. Cats are fed, I'm basically caught up on our thread - basically, as I always miss something - and I'm glad to see that we're doing well as a lot. I have to contact the new job today to determine what Monday's plan is. I cleaned my 1911 yesterday, the 10mm one. I had to order some ammo for it as I managed to bring it back from Out West with nothing to eat. Oh well. I'll play with my 4th M1 today, the one I've had for 20+ years now. Anyway, it's time for a coffee refill, and the Josh is burning for all who suffer needlessly.

My mom fell last nite. Broken hip. She has to get surgery this morning or she will not walk again.

My sister is with her last nite and again this morning. I will be taking over later and tomrrow.

Well, that sucks muchly!!! The Josh shall burn all day then since she suffers' needlessly.


Honestly, that has been my fear with my mother, and she won't take her stick with her. "It makes me look old, and it's heavy, and I don't want to." Fuck all that noise, Mom, and do it anyway.

That was a busy morning. Had a late delivery of 800 pheasant poults that needed to go into the pens. All done safely and it’s stayed dry so they should get a good start.

Busy afternoon too as a friend is popping in for a coffee or tea or whatever. The management is baking for a village fair tomorrow so I guess we will be left to talk Gundogs and shooting. She works with me on the same shoot and is good company so we will probably spend most of the afternoon laughing!

Looks like Calm before the storm here in New Jersey. Around 11:00 a.m. we expect severe thunderstorms 30 to 40 mph winds with gusts to 60 mph. The storm moved over Pennsylvania but we're on the east side which is the strongest. We have a 30% chance of tornadoes today until I think 3:00 p.m.. so it's going to be a wonderful morning. Hope everyone else is safe and dry.
