Speaking of ex's. I received word yesterday that mine signed the papers. Finally after nearly 3 yrs, I will finally be able to close that chapter in my life and be set free. I see the light at the end of the tunnel...I'm so relieved. It's long over due.

You're welcome, and congrats on your pending emancipation. I had the opportunity twice to add to the collection of exes, but neither got to the legalities stage. Obviously, since neither is still here, neither would have worked out, and two exes is more than enough. I have used the time to get to know me and to become someone I wasn't. I like me better today, and I do just fine at taking care of myself.


I also don't need to be second-guessed, but maybe that's in the ear of the beholder.

Wow. Ironic. I shot an FN49 for the first time today. Nice handling rifle but we did have a 2 shot slam fire. It’s an Egyptian model that is chambered in 8mm Mauser.

I need to know about Miss K cabbage!

I take a head of cabbage cut it in half lay that cut side down so it doesn't roll away and I slice it in one inch slabs. Salt and pepper and roasted in the oven at 3:50 until it's to your liking I personally like mine floppy and brown on the edges. Then I pour gravy / sauce over it and eat it like spaghetti

Good for you lady! I watched two good friends go through nasty divorces. At the time the Mrs and myself had walked right up to the line….but we both checked up after watching the knife fights that ensued with our friends. I’m so happy you’re getting your life back. Good luck going forward. We’re all pulling for you.

Staying dry. Debby brought the rain. She brought it! It’s weird bands of intense wind and rain…then total calm. Most of these events it’s either rain bands with constant wind? Yard looks like a lake, but no big limbs down. Watch out my friends up north. She’s a coming!

Water cooler talk... I joined in the middle of a story about a frog eating a bird. Same co-worker who nixed the backyard frog pond b/c they're too noisy.

Supervisor joined "on time" again - missed it.
Looks like we get to hear the story again... I only missed the first two sentences the first time.

Miss K cabbage recipe
Miss K cabbage - finished w/ butter and cream

For that one you got cut it up in to chunks. Put in a big pot with some water and a little salt. Put the cover on and steam til desired doneness. Take the lid off the pot and either drain it or let the heat off the stove evaporate out most of the water. Once that happens put in a know of butter stir it and a splash of cream. Plenty of fresh black pepper. I think is yum
