What Are You Thinking? Continued 14

Had my first wet dream since I was a teenager last night, still not sure how I feel about this 🤔

Why do doctors act surprised when what I tell them about this body I've been in for 40+ years turns out to be true 🤔 I don't make this shit up to entertain myself!
I think it's because so many people are wrong so often about so many things, including things that they absolutely have direct personal reason to know about and have no reason to lie about. Anyone who deals with large numbers of people, like medics, must get to be pleasantly surprised whenever they come across someone who gives reliable information.

I have often thought over the years how weird it is that the things that people say about their own personal experience so often just turn out not to be so. They aren't necessarily stupid or implausible claims, or deliberate lies; just things that turn out later can't have happened or been true.

Some of it is just different real memories getting mixed up and confused, which I understand more as I get older myself. But some of it is weirder than that. When some people are asked about something that they truly have no idea about -- just factually never knew -- they seem to have an inbuilt capacity to make up stuff to say, without showing any awareness that they're doing so. I really don't get it.

Sick of people throwing their weight around thinking they’re a big shot when they’re not close to the bad ass they think they are. How they were selected for their position I’ll never know…

It seems that the lower the stakes, the more people do this. Like, it's not a country you're running. It's a small college where you're the department chair. Get over yourself. That kind of thing.

Seriously…this isn’t even a college. It’s not work related…but some people get their jollies just being asses to people who don’t deserve it…

I was a paramedic, I'm very familiar with proper terms & how to communicate the realities of my body with doctors

That may be what surprises them! (Not that you specifically were a paramedic, just encountering anyone who uses technical terms correctly.)

Why is my first reaction to so many posts one that I really need to hold my tongue(fingers) over?
