The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I don’t think I’m gonna be able to catch up tonite.

Busy balls-out day. But good. My work dinner cancelled which was nice. Crazy rain for two hours at work but no rain at home.

Back is still spasming but less so.

Came home for a swim before the rain came down. Made my wife’s favorite - turkey burgers w sautéed onions.

Desert was extra yummy brownies!!!❤️

Olympics.

Didn’t even check lit. Wasn’t feeling it, tonite. Talk to all a yaz tomorrow!

Hope everyone’s well!!

It was a saga at the time....tdk was missing and wat went on an adventure to find him. He could hear an occasional meow ....from the wall....but couldn't find the entrance point...so he put a hole in the wall where he heard the meowing..... but he wouldn't come out so we were all trying to get tdk out of the wall.......

But tdk wasn't in the wall where the hole was

He was safely lying in

The dryer. He had crawled in to the warm dryer after it had ran and the door got shut on him

He was safe and sound and now wat fixed the wall and checks the dryer for cats 4 times before he does laundry...tdk gives the dryer stink eye

At the time it was an epic saga....for that darling kitten
Beautifully summarized!! ❤️

I did so during a meeting and found myself suddenly transported to a completely different place... 'why that is unexpected', I thought and jolted back. Fortunately I got away with it, as I certainly wasn't the only one.
Felt more rested though :giggle:
I’ve spent more time in meeting fantasizing, thinking, not being mindful, getting distracted.

I wish I was more focused but I am not.

Just had my eye’s checked a couple of weeks ago and my doc has the new camera! It was awesome. They also don’t have to do the “puffer” check as they had a new contraption that eliminates the need for that. They were concerned due to the fact that I I had what the doc said, and I quote, “you have the eyes of a 70 year old?!” 😲. That was when I was 50! What the hell doc?! I asked about that this time, and he laughed. Said don’t worry, they remain the eyes of a 70yr old and haven’t aged since! 🤣

Hunkering down and waiting for the storm…hope our Florida members made it though with no problems.

Here’s to good eyesight and easy storms Z…

Hope you’re doing ok with all
The rain in the Carolina’s. Be safe and careful, bro.

Important. Both my mother and grandmother lost sight due to glaucoma. I am in Thursday for my contact lense check before I order more for the shooting season. They photograph my eye every time as they are watching a blemish on the back of the eyeball. At present it all seems fine.
glaucoma and macular defeneration. My mom has that and all of us siblings are predisposed to it.

So I have to get it checked annually.

Seems like eye appointments are in the air - mine is Friday afternoon.

Started making a wooden stand for a drip feed. I have one but it was sort of an afterthought and it is far from stable. So now I have over complicated it and it is only halfway finished.
My tomatoes are basically screaming at me for more water.
Be careful not to over water the tomatoes too. It tends to make them susceptible to having the skins crack and split.

The soil is now so dry that it just doesn't absorb it anymore. Fresh, sun tanned tomatoes are no comparison to store bought.
I love the smell of tomato plants. Love the taste of fresh tomatoes. I eat em whole!!

Watered this morning (not knowing we’d get downpours tonite) and forgot to bring a bunch in. I must have 25 plants going.

I finally made it home from our meet and greet parent night. All but maybe 4 showed up. It's nice knowing 97% of my names before going into a year. I enjoy these kids. They are pretty cool.

I didn't realize that our clay shooting teacher is my friends son. He's my students dad. I hope my daughter does that when she gets older. I love that our school offers that.
I'm the most unprepared for a new year than I ever have been in 20 years of teaching. I have a lot to do tomorrow. :(

Long day and sore from being on my feet all day. I need to buy some really good shoes.
That’s great!

And skeet shooting as a sport!!

Good luck on the new school year!!

25 plants! That's a lot, I have about 6 that I am actively managing. Tomatoes grow like weeds in my soil so I have to tone down the new growth . My garden is pretty small but still productive .
