This is the problem with you sexist idiots. You don't think women can compare and compete with men. They do and they often win. It has happened often enough that the Olympics now have a recorded history of banning women from a sport after a woman has beaten a man at that sport, only to open a women's division in that same sport later on. Because so many men lost their minds and couldn't deal with a man losing to a woman. In your mind you have already labeled men as strong and women as weak.

Just accept that women and men are equal. Although if you keep this up I may have some strong reconsiderations about men, definitely you for sure.

Men and women are not equal, they may be complimentary to each other but they are not equal. Their differences does not equate to one being superior to the other as human beings, but there are subtle differences between the sexes. You’re trying to normalize exceptions to the rule.

I literally gave you 20 examples - not limited to them - over the course of one hundred years - of showing where women out competed men.

Instead of accepting it you're going on some yin yang philosophical tangent to cover up your mistake.

Yes I do and yes she did. Her opponent met stringent hormonal testing for the Olympic games and thrashed her quite soundly. Carini tearfully admitted she was "overcome with emotion that her Olympic dream had come to an end and wanted to sincerely apologize to her opponent for demonizing her" on Friday.

That seemed to be the end of the story.

It wasn't.

It turns out that Carini's boxing coach is a high ranking member of what might be called "MAGA Italy" and is best described as a Glamorilla-class transphobe.

He knew his boxer would likely lose so weeks before the match he began coaching her on derogatory comments to make to her opponent in the media "It'll give you a psychological boost because the world will hate your opponent".

When his poor little boxer got knocked down, the far-right media in Italy bellowed loud and long that she lost to a "transgender". This made the international news, and an extremely poorly worded headline by the Associated Press about the match caught the attention of three of the most transphobic shitbags in the world: J.K.Rowling, Elon Musk and of course convicted felon Donald J. Trump.

Most news organizations steathily walked back their outrage over the past few days, but the damage was done and Team Transphobia successfully hijacked the Olympic media narrative for a complete news cycle. Winning!

Testosterone testing in sports is still in a state of flux, with no less than three separate standards since 2013. The latest interim standard pleases no one: A female athlete must have a testosterone level of less then 5 nmol/L for a documented six months prior to the competition.

Oh, and nice snark about Olympic gold medalist Stella Walsh (born Stanisława Walasiewicz). She had to drop her knickers to prove she had a vagina (which was the "sex verification" test at the time) for both the 1932 and 1936 Olympics. Upon her death in 1980, an autopsy revealed she was technically a hermaphrodite (dual sex organs) with a tiny little Rightguide-sized peener hidden right behind her vulva. Not remotely relatable to the issue being discussed.

Also, Walsh competed for the Polish national team in the Olympics and did not emigrate to the USA until 1947.

Mebbe RDS you could benefit from researching some facts. The basic problem is that some people seem to regard Sex and Gender as interchangeable terms, and others, including myself, regard sexual identification as a verifiable scientific fact whereas Gender is a social construct (and no concern of anybody except the individual concerned)

The comment about Stella Walsh was no "snark" She was born in Poland but emigrated to the USA at the age of 3 months in June 1911, not as you suggested, 1947. Her family took the name of Walsh and she was known as Stella at school and reported as such in the media, right up until 1930. At the time half the American Olympic Committee still had misgivings about selecting any women and decided that US citizenship was essential to be selected, despite the fact that they had picked a bunch of English men Rugby players a couple of Olympiads earlier. Walsh was not 21 at the time so could not apply for citizenship: she therefore opted to represent Poland and won Gold.

Walsh did not have to "drop her knickers;" her intersex XXXY status and mosaicism was determined only after a leaked coroners report when she was shot dead in a bodged street mugging.

You are correct in stating that the IOC has determined that the IBA is financially corrupt. If they are one tiny fraction as corrupt as the IOC itself, they will certainly be bad. Fifa and the IOC share the gold medal on that issue.

Finally there is an exceptionally fine article on Wikipedia titled "Sex Verification in Sport." It shows conclusively that this problem has existed in Olympic sport for almost 100 years and it is my opinion almost certain that the IOC will continue to fudge the issue.

Finally, Adrina's contention that women regularly beat men in Sports is just plain silly and isn't the issue anyway. The issue is whether the various intersexes should be allowed to compete against women defined as such scientifically, rather than through their own definition of their preferred gender
 
When Republicans care about reproductive Rights, vawa, processing rape kits, domestic abuse, child abuse, maternity leave etc then and only then can they say they care about women's rights and issues.

This whole trans athlete thing isn't about consideration for women or women's rights. It is about preserving their image and perception of women - regardless of accuracy.

If that's what you got from what I wrote, go back and reread it at least 20 times.

Hint: it was a statement on the perception of women as "the weaker sex" and how most men can't stand or deal with competing with women because it is at odds with their preconceived stereotypical notions.
