Thanks, Biden!!!

Thankyou, Mr. President and Veep Harris for getting this multi-national prisoner swap done. This is a great addition to your legacy as the 46th President of the U.S

And taking the death penalty off the table for the masterminds of the 9-11 attack. I guess all those lives lost aren't worth anything to Biden/Harris.

the case has gone nowhere for 10 years... there has been no 'closure' for the families.
this deal means they plead guilty and things can happen in the process. How more cruel could it be to allow the families to languish in this legal purgatory for another 10 years or even longer?

i am sure there are many who'll hate the fact they get to live, but this also means the three get locked up for a long, long, long, long time.

The largest industry lobbying firm, PhRMA, which is suing the government over the negotiation process, said the IRA did not do enough to protect patients from unintended consequences.

"As a result of the IRA, there are fewer Part D plans to choose from and premiums are going up. Meanwhile, insurers and PBMs are covering fewer medicines and say they intend to impose further coverage restrictions as the price-setting scheme is implemented," the organization said in a statement.

But the Biden administration has already planned to contribute $5 billion to help balance the anticipated spike in premiums.

So really Prez Pudd’n Head only “saved” 1 Billion according to your article. Do you even read what you post?

Why aren't they dead already? Couldn't Trump have done something about that in his four years?

Is this incident caused by asbestos as well? Thanks o'l two scoops 😉

Rite Aid? 😆

Rite Aid’s management loaded the company with debt, resulting in predictable financial losses.

Rite Aid had more than 2,000 stores before it filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in October 2023 as it battled mounting debts.

Poorly managed Rite Aid can’t compete with Walmart or Amazon.

Drugstores, generally, are struggling to compete with big-box chains and with Amazon, which launched its own online-only pharmacy in 2020.

And they should not have tried to profit from the opioid epidemic.

On top of that, Rite Aid faced a series of lawsuits accusing the company of overprescribing opioids.

All 3 quotes are from the article you linked.

You are financially illiterate. 👍

Today’s lesson: Poorly managed retailers fail. It’s been happening for the entire history of the world.

Yupper this'll work outfor the best I'm sure... it worked soooooo well for Argentina 🙄
Just read the article. Contains two quotes from her of about three or four words. I did notice the term "price gouging", which I believe either is or should be illegal. Yes, I suppose that's a form of price control, just like the government negotiating lower prices for insulin. We have also long had limits on how much financial institutions could charge in interest. Haven't seen any MAGAts bitching and moaning about that. Capitalism needs some guardrails, lest it destroy the very society that embraces it.

You have no right to criticize anyone else's reading comprehension skills. Five of the six billion in savings is going to help offset the spike in premiums that insurance companies will charge their customers. So all $6 billion dollars is going to help Medicare beneficiaries.

Thus endeth the lesson.

As we get deeply into the 2024 election campaign and are reminded of how creepy and controlling Trump and his MAGAts are, once again thanks are extended to Biden for winning the 2020 election and bringing Harris along as his Vice President.

It was such a relief to have normal adults back in the Executive branch of the American government seeking solutions domestically and restoring our alliances internationally. We do not want to go back to the days when we woke up every morning wondering what Trump would do next to rip apart our nation and the world.

Thanks, Biden! Thanks, Harris!
