Harris for President

Do you think Obama effectively improved race relations in US of A? :)
Yes, immensely. Far too many non-racist whites thought racism was, if not dead, at least a lot farther along towards the scrap heap of history than it really was and is. Thanks to the immense racist backlash Obama triggered just by virtue of being a successful Black president, no one with two working brain cells is under that misimpression anymore.

At least you answer questions even though the answers are wrong. :)

First of all, a question that begins with "Do you think..." can't really have a "wrong" answer, since you're simply asking for someone's opinion.
Now, feel free to explain just why you think I'm wrong.

I wasn't asking you specifically. I was heading somewhere but what's his name didn't want to play. :)

The Villages was solidly in the Trump camp four years ago. A spontaneous Harris rally there means he’s in big trouble.

It might have something to do with the leaked plans to take away the voting rights of the elderly in nursing homes, and Trump and the MAGAts incessant attacks on (mocking) President Biden’s age.

I believe the Harris campaign should highlight the Trump campaign’s attacks on the elderly, point out the hypocrisy and ageist nature of those attacks, point out the new paradigm of the election with Kamala Harris as the Democratic candidate, and reinforce the Democratic Party’s commitment to protecting ALL Americans’ voting rights.

Vice President Harris must maintain the Biden/ Harris coalition that won in 2020 - which included older voters of ALL political stripes.

Lest we forget that she was the last person in the room in Biden's decision to bug out of Afghanistan and other debacles.

🙄

The exit mission from Afghanistan, under the super-suboptimal conditions DonOld Trump left President Biden, was nothing short of magnificent.

Any slander of that unprecedented military and logistical accomplishment belittles the sacrifice of those service members who gave their lives in service to that critical and necessary mission.

Full stop.

"Right"guide is an un-American POS (traitor) for suggesting otherwise.

Full stop.

Lest we forget the former President invited the Taliban to Camp David and used those sooooperior deal making skillz to negotiate the following exit deal: We, the United States, will pull ALL of our forces out of Afghanistan next year if you promise not to kick our asses as we walk out the door.

Lest we forget that she was the last person in the room in Biden's decision to bug out of Afghanistan and other debacles.
Pulling out of Afghanistan was always going to be a shit show. And lest you forget, don-old put the clock on withdrawal by making a time sensitive deal with the Taliban behind the Afghan government’s back.

If This Story Is True, Then Joe Biden Was Deposed in a Coup

If this story is true, and it’s a big what if, then Joe Biden has been deposed in a coup that’s reminiscent of banana republics. The problem is the sourcing: the story appears to be written by Seymour Hersh. Hersh isn’t a fake news peddler, though his stories often rely on anonymous sources, so much cannot be verified. For those who don’t know, Hersh has written for The New Yorker and The New York Times. He won a Pulitzer for his reporting on the Mai Lai Massacre during the Vietnam War. Hersh may have a liberal bias, but he’s not overall a conspiracy theorist, at least not in the vein of someone like Louise Mensch, a former member of the UK Parliament, who went totally off the deep end during the Russian collusion hoax.

Hersh’s pervasive use of anonymous sources has given many an editor heartburn. Still, this story also is grounded since Joe Biden was facing pressure from all angles to step aside following his disastrous June 27 debate. His polling began to crater, placing states like Virginia in play. Donors withheld their cash; Hill Democrats poured out, calling the president to step aside. The dam finally broke during the Republican National Convention. Still, Biden remained entrenched even though he was looking at a Jimmy Carter-style loss if he stayed. At this point, Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries increased their campaign to nudge the president into quitting. Barack Obama was already working behind the scenes to force Biden to exit the race, which brings us to this piece of palace intrigue: Obama called Joe saying that he got the go-ahead from Kamala to invoke the 25th Amendment. Hersh noted that Obama dropped this bomb at breakfast time on July 21. Hours later, Biden would quit the race:

Biden was muscled out, and that’s not a tin foil hat observation. Scott Jennings made a similar point on CNN, noting how Biden’s exit also marks how easy it is to topple a president if the party’s big wigs band together. Biden might have been able to save his presidency if he had the political acumen and skill required for the job. He never possessed those qualities. No money, no friends on the Hill, and even the base had done a 180-degree turn on wanting Joe to stay. He was frail, had COVID, and now another medical episode of undetermined origin, but wouldn’t be shocked if it was a TIA. Could he handle it? Nope.

He was not.

Might as well start this shit with "we all know...."

My guess is that you did a search for "Joe Biden was deposed in a coup"

musk suspended Harris' account earlier in the week before it was restored, and now the Dudes for Harris account also got suspended as they were busy zooming with around 200,000 including stars, politicians and regular voters.

They raised more than $3.5M in the space of the call and there was blowback when it was discovered the account had been suspended:

“Got @elonmusk scared,” Rocketto wrote on his personal X account along with a screenshot showing the account’s suspension.

A backup account called @dudesforharris was quickly formed as a replacement while social media users voiced outrage at the group being silenced.

Musk, who has previously described himself as a “free speech absolutist”, publicly endorsed Donald Trump this month and has since posted a doctored video of Harris on X – an apparent violation of his own platform’s rules.

after the back-up account drew 20,000 followers the original account was restored but without any explanation.

we know why.

fuck you, musk, you weaselly little shit.

Musk is a petulant little troll who lashes out at all who disagree with him. No wonder he’s a MAGA.

I'll find the link later, but I saw a report about how Kamala Harris' admonition to both Hamas and Israel to stop fucking around and get serious about a ceasefire caused a large spike in her support from American voter of Arabic parentage in Michigan, which has the largest per-capita concentration of Arab-American voters.

Your boy trump tried a coup. That article sure is full of breathless prose! Biden did face increasing pressure, but he also looked at big money donations drying up, poll numbers, and had the courage to realize he’d lost a step and he’d done as much as he could for the country he loves and it was time to stand down.

Don't Look Her In the Eye: Father of Harris Intern Recounts Office Horror Stories

'For a woman of color to have employees stand when she enters the room smacks of a bygone era that we, as Americans, deplore and find demeaning'

Jessica Costescu
July 29, 2024
As California attorney general, Kamala Harris consistently berated staff members, instructed them to stand and call her "general" when she entered the office, and banned many of them from looking her in the eye, according to the father of one of Harris's former interns.

The father, Terry McAteer, penned a 2019 op-ed recounting the horror stories from his son Gregory's short time as a public policy intern in Harris's attorney general's office.

"Senator Harris vocally throws around 'F-bombs' and other profanity constantly in her berating of staff and others," McAteer wrote. "The staff is in complete fear of her and she uses her profanity throughout the day."

He continued: "As Attorney General, Senator Harris instructed her entire staff to stand every morning as she entered the office and say, ‘Good Morning General.' Never once during the month-long internship did Harris introduce herself to our son … and staff was too intimidated by her to introduce him."

Yes, Harris was and is a goose-stepping Marxist autocrat.

That wasn't it at all, Rob. There is no virtue in mis-quoting history. Go here to the 49 second mark and hear the truth about what Trump told the Taliban:

So, show us how and where Hersh is lying. You can start by refuting it with your knowledge and inside sources.

Your article refutes it enough. I do t need to add anything. Hersh has been consistently full of shit the last few years and consistently relies on sources that are never confirmed or corroborated.

It seems the way you look for news lately is alto start with the story you want and then search for sources that agree with it.

Yes, I get it. You only like his stories you agree with and those that implicate your political enemies.
