It’s good night to most but good morning from me.

I have a fun busy day. A few moths ago one of our friends in the next village said her ten year old daughter was mad keen on going fishing. I promised to take her through the school holidays and today is the day. We will go to a commercial fishery where there are lots of different ponds. It’s a place you are guaranteed to catch and everything is released. I have collected a little of my old gear and some stuff that has been donated so she will have her own pole and reel plus hooks and bits if she wants to go again.

I have done this for a few kids and the look on their face when they catch is just amazing. So folks keep your fingers crossed for a fishy bonanza. Even the weather is looking like it will stay fine.

The grass needs cutting. And I don't mention it much these days, but the Josh (incense) is lit for those who are in a tough way and are losing hope.

Working from home today, which is always a bit easier. No real plans for the weekend. The grass at the house doesn’t look too bad.

Punkins are not growing great this year and hoping some good specimens will be ready for the 4H fair at the end of August.

I am hoping to go plinking this weekend.

Gonna get outta bed, assemble my to do list and get a workout in today.

I learned the concept of Pay It Forward a few decades ago, and it is, to me, the most worthwhile approach I have ever practiced. Having Some Boundaries is also important, but practicing that as gently as possible requires lots of repetitions. Sometimes, my best boundary is to walk away.

Early on in my life I was a little lost and having a bad time of things. I had a boss who became a mentor for me. Now I am trying to be a mentor for the kid who leases space on my farm. He is a super kid, but struggling with life and what to do with it.
