The whole issue of Israel is bigger than Israel/Palestine—as we already know. Further destabilisation of the middle east is a major factor and any serving POTUS' views on the topic are crucial.

I am hoping that President Obama is waiting no later than the Democratic National Convention to endorse Kamala Harris...any endorsement later than that would appear to me to be a "sour grapes" endorsement not unlike Bernie Sanders in 2016.

It’s reasonable (more than reasonable, really) to believe that there are factions in the Democratic Party who are not perfectly aligned on certain issues. Those factions are fairly evident: imho: - Biden / Harris / Clintons - Obama / Clooney / progressive media elites - Manchin / Tester / moderate corporate elites.

Obama and his faction need to get over the fact that the Biden / Harris / Clinton faction outmaneuvered his faction and get on board with Kamala. (And Joe “garbage” Man-chin and his faction need to get over it and get on board or get out of the way.)

They can quibble when the election is over and Democrats have secured the presidency and congress.

I actually think the Biden / Harris / Clinton faction in the Democratic Party is where the majority of Americans are right now - just like in 2020. I believe the Obama faction, currently, is probably too far left of center, and the Joe “garbage” Man-chin faction is probably too far right of center.

The Democratic coalition is dependent on walking the line that represents where most Americans are (or at least where most of the voting public are.)

I truly believe the Biden / Harris / Clinton faction is walking the right line. Likely Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamal Harris needs to keep walking that line if she want to win now and in November, imho.
