Harris for President

Anyhows, there is very little point in debating, comrades. Napoleon has already provided you with your "guidance" and you WILL comply.

"This is transformative": Some Democratic donors express elation at Harris' potential ascension

After weeks of turmoil over the future of the Democratic ticket, Kessler said the campaign donors he’s courted as a bundler for Biden’s campaign are turning their full attention to Harris and committing to work on her behalf. “They’re really excited, and they are all in,” he said.

Other donors told CNN that Harris’ entry into the race is “reinvigorating.”

“My phone’s been ringing off the hook,” Matt Gorman, a longtime Democratic fundraiser, said.

Gorman said that while he deeply respects Biden, he feels it’s “incumbent” upon him to support the decision that’s been made and “back up Harris.”

He said that he and fellow donors are “excited” about Harris and that he’s received many calls from people who had been holding back donations but are now asking where to throw their money behind, whether it’s the Democratic National Committee or specific PACs.

“The energy in the last six hours has been reinvigorating and inspiring,” Gorman said.

Most useful they've been in weeks. Heh.

Without reading any posts here I will add this. I have been contacted today from relatives, friends and co-workers who are crazy excited now. Some of these people were resigned to a Trump victory and were going to just skip the election. They now can't wait to vote.
Oh and I have just made my first campaign contribution of 2024 to the Harris campaign.

Like the deranged President who nominated her, She's not qualified. She another fraud being perpetrated on the American people.

See...this is the best you can do right now until your leash holders finally figure out how to come at her.

We'll know when that happens because you'll be making multiple threads again using their words instead of glum slumming it in other people's with your own. :ROFLMAO:

That wasn't the white male donor class. That was small donations. Which is awesome.

The thing is the donor class doesn't want Kamala. That was made abundantly clear by AOC. They'll likely be forced into accepting her. Which they should. This bullshit they pulled with Biden is not appropriate.

I happily get to eat my words. Don't even need any whipped cream on them or anything.

The donor class is "reinvigorated" and looking to spend money on Harris.

This is one word meal I will relish.

If she were to take office before November would her chances improve significantly?

Ok.
I said it would be difficult for things to get worse for the country coming from the Democratic side...
I did not say it was impossible.

Praying would not be a bad thing right now.

looks like the shitshow may be averted *fingers crossed* as they fall into line behind Kamala. The big donors who have been against her might not see a way NOT to back her as representing the dems come november

The Congressional Black Caucus joined President Biden in endorsed VP Harris to lead the ticket as well.

Rep. Ted Lieu (D-CA)

"I hereby endorse Kamala Harris! That’s the tweet," said Rep. Jared Moskowitz (D-FL).

Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA)

Rep. Jamie Raskin

Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA)

Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC) endorsed VP Harris, writing: "I echo the good judgment [Biden] demonstrated in selecting Vice President Harris to lead this nation alongside him, and I am proud to follow his lead in support of her candidacy to succeed him as the Democratic Party's 2024 nominee for President."

Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA)

Pramila Jayapal (D-WA)

Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-WI)

Sen. Chris Murphy (D-CT)

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA)

Rep. Maxwell Alejandro Frost (D-FL)

Big hitter names on this list

Don’t be too hard on yourself:

The donor class / media got the spectacle and ratings / clicks windfall they wanted, with no regard for the chaos and pain their “forcing” President Biden into stepping aside has caused.

🤬

Also:

President Biden (likely with guidance from the Clintons) kinda steamrolled ONE faction of the donor class AND the media with the suddenness of the announcement and the premeditated (imho) wave of endorsements for Kamala. Meanwhile: You could see on the Sunday morning news shows, the media and that ONE faction of the donor class’ surrogates (Joe “garbage” Manchin, etc) were scrambling to try and salvage the possibility of an open primary before the nomination.

🤬

That ONE faction of the donor class may be making noises about being “reinvigorated and looking to spend money on Harris”, while behind the scenes they are likely fuming about the way things went down, and the way things are now progressing toward a seemingly inevitable Harris nomination.

🤬

I want to believe that President Biden abruptly stepped aside the way he did as a parting gift to Kamala, and a parting “Fuck You!!!” to that ONE faction of the donor class, Joe “garbage” Manchin,, etc, AND the media.

If that ^ is true, then all I can say is:

Thanks President Biden!!!

👍

Khosla first posted that an open convention could yield a candidate who could "easily" beat Trump, such as Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer or Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro — in a later post, he also called on Vice President Kamala Harris or Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear to declare their candidacy. He noted these politicians could lead the US without the nation being "held hostage between MAGA extremists and DEI extremism."

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, was not impressed.

"Come on, Vinod. Trump/Vance LFG!!" he replied.
Khosla's reply is wonderful :)
"Hard for me to support someone with no values, lies, cheats, rapes, demeans women, hates immigrants like me," Khosla replied. "He may cut my taxes or reduce some regulation but that is no reason to accept depravity in his personal values. Do you want President who will set back climate by a decade in his first year? Do you want his example for your kids as values?"

In another post, Khosla tagged Musk asking if he would be "willing forgive him for trying to subvert democracy on Jan 6 and push for insurrection just to win?"

Musk did not reply to that post.

And what is Obama doing???

He’s calling for an “open Democratic primary process, while withholding his endorsement of Harris.

Most of you who are Democrats are already bleating the Party Line. I leave you with this quote....“No one believes more firmly than Comrade Napoleon that all animals are equal. He would be only too happy to let you make your decisions for yourselves. But sometimes you might make the wrong decisions, comrades, and then where should we be?”

Welcome to Animal Farm, comrades....

But some animals are more equal than others . . . .
