perhaps we'll get to see a little clearer who—out of the big donors and top political figures—were more anti-Harris ever getting the presidency if President Biden was no longer able to serve in the capacity
their story about it all being concerns for Joe B's health and age simply don't cover Harris.

I had a thought regarding the lawsuits that Heritage will likely try to bring in GA, NV and WI... I'm wondering about how the GOP will deal with the optics of filing to keep the first woman of color off the ballot.
They will lose voters with that. Not only the fairness factor, but it won't go down well with women, black people, Indian/Asian people etc. I don't think it will stop them from filing, but it may stop them from proceeding.

Competency wise, either option would be a solid choice, but realities being what they are, I expect a straight white male: Andy Bashear??? Josh Shapiro???
Definitely not Newsom, for obvious reasons, imho.
The President never wants to be eclipsed by their running mate, so a less prominent and non-polarizing public figure would logically be the pick.
Andy Beshear fits the bill perfectly, imho, (for multiple reasons having everything to do with the realities of the electorate and the race.)
