For some reason, my hand slipped over the off button on my remote control, trembled a bit, and then pressed it. When it's over, please let me know that he really, convincingly asked for unity.
Donald Trump needed to knock it out of the park tonight to save his sinking campaign. He failed. It’s over.
Lol.Donald Trump needed to knock it out of the park tonight to save his sinking campaign. He failed. It’s over.
The media has always favored Trump over Biden because Trump was like a court jester. His silly antics drove clicks. What outlandish thing has he done today? Declared war on Mexico? Devalued the dollar?
But in his speech tonight he committed a fatal error—he was boring. He rambled on and on for what seemed like hours. If you watch the reactions of his audience they were totally passive. No excitement or enthusiasm. Some people were falling asleep. If a candidate can’t get a few cheers or chuckles out of his loyal followers, he won’t be able to drive people who are more lukewarm about him to the polls in November.
And Trump’s VP pick has negative charisma. The big-money tech people may like JD Vance, but he’s no Sarah Palin when it comes to generating Republican enthusiasm.
Biden’s problem has always been that competence is dull. No one cares if a candidate can speak intelligently about foreign policy for an hour. That’s a snooze.
All Trump had to do tonight was demonstrate he could still put on a good show, but he bombed and put his audience to sleep. A tired, low-energy Trump who meanders through familiar talking points is not electable in the modern media environment. He blew it.
Soros spelled it wrong! No, it will Hillary…
Brawndo! It’s what plants crave.

US job stats show millions of US-born and foreign-born workers have gained jobs under President Biden.
