Hello, everyone! I haven't posted here in a long time, but I happen to see this ice cream thread and was inspired to break my silence! I make ice cream every Friday for my crew at work. The basic recipe with cream, milk, sugar and vanilla is indeed wonderful. Tried adding chucks of cookie dough yesterday and that was amazing too. I could do with a dish right now...

Sorry folks but I can't update on nearly 10 days so perhaps treat me as a newbie who knows the rules.
My update is
Holiday-1 Started with Heavy cold
0 drove for 6 hours with numerous breaks to doze
1 still felt awful but good weather so out and dosed up.
2. I am feeling a little better but mum has my cold. I am unpopular
3. I am recovered but heavy rain so stuck in
4. Raining Wife has my cold so I am really unpopular...go fishing
5 Raining Mum is recovering but drops the stitches on her knitting so stops. I am still unpopular stay out of the way and read
6. Asked to pick up mums 52 stitches. Hell I haven't done that for 60 years but just remember. Put it on the needle the wrong way around so unpopular again
7. Lovely day. Dig worms for fishing, pick up stitches the right way around. Take the ladies for coffees so gaining popularity. Allowed to go fishing.
8 Help clean and drive home popularity restored!

So glad to be back in the bar with my friends and a cup of tea.

Welcome back greylag! Good to “see” you again. Sounds like things started off on the wrong foot, but by the end you Lenard how to stitch pretty well!

Hope the ladies are recovering from their colds. But you managed to get some fishing in!
