A story that I've not been wanting to follow very closely, as I spent a regrettably short period of time in Makhachkala and still have friends in the area. No one I know is among the dead, at least not this time, but it's still sad to see such a wonderful part of the world coming under assault like this.
By "ISIS-K" of course, an "Islamist" organization which somehow never seems to attack anyone except for the enemies of NATO.
