Bramble whisky sounds delicious.....I have never picked wild blackberries i bet they are delicious
 
I don't know if it was a family relative or family of the family but they owned a wine company. I was much too young to drink it. All I got was the fresh berries from the vines and a tour of the establishment. It was pretty cool. I've seen the wine license from way back when. The family member back then couldn't write (guessing he couldn't read) and signed the wine license w/ an X. That is crazy how that worked back in the day.
 
Happy Sunday. Sorry for just disappearing last night, but the internet got uber-wonky and pages didn't load and so on. Anyway, it seems back to normal this morning.

First cup of coffee. Up too damned early, but there can always be a bit of dozing later. Got some books to box, some weeds to spray before the heat gets too bad, a casserole to make, and there's always cleaning. And reading. Maybe even some writing.
 
I'll make do below 90. Today calls for/threatens 96. I'm not interested. But my weed killing is going well. It's been awhile since it rained and the little dears are thirsty, so they suck up the death juices and are shriveling nicely. Death becomes them. Less to maintain.
 
The weather sure is weird. Friday's high was 117* (didn't feel that hot). Then yesterday barely got to 103* but it was getting humid. Most of the day was covered in clouds. I think today will be more of the same weather. Tues., Wed., and Thurs. should be back in the high teens. Gotta love the Summer heat.
 
I remind people to remember these days when it's January and they're freezing their balls off. Same for remembering those days on weeks like this. It mostly gives people something to piss-n-moan about.

I freaken at Winter and the cold. If it's below 75*, I become grumpy and start whining about when is Spring and Summer coming back. The weather here will be HOT until late Sept, early Oct. It's like the 3 week in Oct is when I finally give up wearing shorts because I'm too cold. Ugh. Hate that time of the year.

I was chatting with Dr. Tyler yesterday evening and we seemed to agree that perhaps as we have aged, that warm weather is somewhat more tolerable than it once was.
 
Prayers going out to Lili…I hope everything is OK.

Damn hot but not to worry. I have a date this morning in Catalonia! The Spanish Grand Prix😉. Lando on the poll, but Max and a resurgent Lewis will be pushing him early. Shaping up to be a good race.
