I was only going to stick it under my chin and..
It's the reason I can't get a gun. I suffer from suicidal depression.
I have medication but...
Cat Time is the bestest time (next to dog time - which I will binge next weekend)Yes, we have no berries. We do have some TDK sheddings blowing around the room thanks to the air circulation.
Ethyl came over to speak. She walks over beside my legs and up looks at me. Then she wiggles her butt side to side and bangs it into my shin as a way to get my attention. You know, in case I don't react quickly enough. She did decline to jump on me, but she's in on the bed grooming. It's been a mostly lazy day here today.
I'm BiPolar & manic depressive, and have been this way long time. That's really hard on those who stay behind. I've seen it several times.
I'm BiPolar & manic depressive, and have been this way long time.
I have medication that I take daily for the rest of my life, but I have up & down days.
As long as Mrs Rj is still around, I will care for her
I have no more living family and she doesn't either
If she passes...so do I
I'm gonna catch hell for posting this...

I love the farmer co op.... they are some hard working people. Main farm is man wife and 4 kids..... they are amazingI am envious of the farmers cooperative thingie. I also miss the Amish market. We have Farmer Steve here. Good part is, he's convenient. Bad part is, he's as expensive at the grocery store and the quality isn't all that much better. I had trouble buying tasty tomatoes there last year, and this part of the world grows something called a Hanover tomato, and it's damned fine eatin'.
Got the newer/old rifle taken to pieces, cleaned thoroughly, lubed thoroughly, and reassembled to the point of needing the new op rod spring which is coming on Tuesday (we think). Amazing how much easier this one was compared to the first time through. Well, I do know more now. I didn't even have to look up how to reassemble the bolt or the bullet carrier assemblies.
The old cat is spending the day in the laundry room. Keeping an eye on him.
A good cussin always helps! You should have been in the truck with me yesterday! F and MF bombs were flying!![]()

Have you been talking to Mistress BrendaD?
I am glad it is getting good use and fresh produce is going to food banks. I work with a bunch of medical practices in Appalachia who have patients that have very bad food insecurity drug use is rampant jobs are not etc etc etc. I am trying to research grants to get a fitness/community center for patients. Wish a rich rich would give me a few million. I could help fight a couple different problems. Or at least get them started. When I get a bunch of veggies like that I make a veggie rafu and cook some eggs in it....its called something like shasuko....or something. I make a little spicy with some chilies. Very tasty...runny yolk makes it rich.....OR I make a veggie Primavera sauce for spaghettiI live in the Borderlands where the flow of food northwards is a 24/7 affair. The produce warehouses have food that is perfectly good but won’t have enough shelf life when it reaches in interior.
That’s where produce is redistributed, usually about 60lbs of vegetables for $15. (Food remaining after Food Banks pickup)
We usually have a lot of zucchini and tomatoes but whatever is seasonal will find its way in the box. You can’t choose, you get what you get and it can be surprising. Once I received a Dragon Fruit. Ugly! But I watched a YouTube video on what to do and it was tasty.
Anytime I get a box I share with friends and usually end up making ratatouille with all the veggies.

If it wasn’t distributed it would go to the landfill which is a shame because there is so much food but it’s not where the people are.
Yes! I try to visit the local farms when I can. Being single with so many food intolerances the CSAs and box programs don't work for me. When I can, buying fresh from the source is a win-win!I love the farmer co op.... they are some hard working people. Main farm is man wife and 4 kids..... they are amazing
They send me a list and then I can switch out and a lot of times what I do, because I'm a little picky and I live by myself so it's hard for me to go a bag of salad mix ahead of lettuce and spinach in one week or before it goes bad, so I buy in bulk so I'll switch everything out and replace it with 4 quarts of green beans and then I process them I eat what I can and put the rest in the freezer. Or one week I got three pints of blueberries and I froze them and put them in a ziplock bag and I will use them later with yogurt. Sometimes I can switch out and get a dozen eggs or hamburger or stuff like that. I got short ribs last week and I made barbecue short ribs. And the trade-off is a reasonably size package for me so it was like 1 lb of short ribs and I made three meals out of it. If they didn't let me switch out I probably wouldn't like it as much. I get the largest box so this week I got 17 items. For 50$ plus delivery. I'm getting 4 quarts of green beans two containers of raspberries which each container is like two of the small ones at the grocery store. 3 containers of cherries and I think they're pint containers. two cucumbers, a head of cabbage, 2 quarts of potatoes, and I can't remember the rest....hahahahahaYes! Freezers are such a blessing. We grow some stuff and what we don’t use gets frozen. Through the season our allotments have a stall for surplus produce and it goes there to raise funds. During hunting season I can get as much meat as Inwantbso things like pheasant, partridge, duck and geese are breasted out and frozen. Friday I picked up a box of trout I dropped at the smokers. I have now got 18 sides smoked and it cost me just 24$. All saves on supermarket prices when you are on a pension. Yep...I love the freezer. I need a big one.... in the fall I buy the bump and dent apples at the orchard up the road and make huge batches of applesauce and pie filling. Freeze flat in zipper bags and thaw as needed. Its about striking while the iron is hot!! 18 sides of smoked salmon for 24$...wow!!Freezers are such a blessing. Yep, we do that with our apples and pick wild blackberries to go with it when the management makes crumbles for deserts. Spare blackberries go into a litre of cheap whiskey with some sugar. Leave for six months and strain for Bramble Whisky. It is heavenly but not sure it’s a thing your side of the water.Yep...I love the freezer. I need to do that this year. We've a great orchard on the outskirts of town.batches of applesauce
Blackberry Brandy is a thing. Not sure if that's similar to Bramble Whiskey or not. I've not tried it myself but have heard others talk about it.Bramble Whisky
Wonderful testament to a life well lived.Well, yesterday was a good day if a sad one. The thanksgiving service was so well attended with a full church and lunch afterwards. Then back to the house where we had drinks and cakes. She had led a life well lived with lots of community service and it was a privilege to hear how much she had done for the community. It will be hard for him in a huge house on his own but we will keep a watch and be there for him.
I know and I appreciate each and every one of you all...
