My parents grew up in Minnesota. My mom's 100% Norwegian. Well as Norwegian as you can be. At one point in time way back when, Norway and Sweden were one country. Have you ever had lutefisk or lefse?

Norway and Sweden were one country

Tru-dat.

Sweden wanted rid of the Norwegians because they were so poor. In fact a lot of Norwegians got to Minnesota/Wisconsin on boat fare paid by the Swedish government.

Things didn’t change much until the Norwegians “invented da oil” and now have the world’s largest sovereign fund. It’s also the only oil based economy in the world that’s a democracy.

My mom loves lutefisk... word has it may/may not be true that during some war ??with the swedes that they poisoned the cod and the Norwegians were so bad ass they made it a delicacy

And lefse is yum yum yum. I have the equipment to make and have done so lot of work ...a LOT of work..not hard but 10 lbs of potatoes makes a very small batch and everyone comes out of the wood work and gobbles it up

So it's sort of a thing with Norwegians and they're dislike of Swedish people. One time I told my mom I was going to make Swedish meatballs and her response was.. "swedes take the credit for everything" and she had such a look of disgust on her face

I’m glad you’re able to troubleshoot that, wat.

I don’t know anything about M1 other than I own one and I’ve never fired it. I will be rectifying that Sunday or Monday. My friend who’s out from Pennsylvania took one look at that thing and said it’s never been fired.

Good luck getting that rifle back together and cycling a few rounds thru it!

It's reassembled. Seems good as it ever was. And they shipped the new one, too, and it's already rebuilt. I have the WRA which I will disassemble and clean over the weekend. And I have new recoils springs coming Monday or Tuesday. I'll be fucking swimming in M1s.

Didn't hear a follow-up after the interview. My guess is, something had to be cleared up the ladder, and it's Friday and hot and it just didn't happen. I think this one is a go. And I got a reject email from another position without so much as human contact. Fuck 'em.
