Beautiful pic. I retired early in part the new VP was an ass. My health improved after the retirement.

I’m sure mine will also. My headaches come from above, although I never see the little tyrants who put out these edicts but once a year. I do have to live and work under them though.

They’ve in effect made a wonderful job much less so. They answer to a BOD who answers to the BIG man. You can see how it all rolls.

Six to seven more yrs…then the ejection handle will be pulled and pulled hard!

I just got an email from compliance..... the are the bane of my existence....... go away.

I would respect the process more if they followed the rules 100%. I tell them Medicare guidelines that come out that would cause an oig audit if they found out and they start this "acceptable risk" bs talk..... but they send me through all the gates of hell for if I should use the word "fourth" or the abbreviation "4th" on a tip sheet.....

I am afraid to open the email. I had a great day yesterday....ugh

About 6 years ago my LW and I visited Scotland in November but heard about tourists and the midges. We were happy to have toured this beautiful country in the fall.

Very wise…you switch midges for cold and wet. Come to think of it, the same trade applies in mid summer

As one who works in “Compliance” I don’t know whether to agree and laugh or take offence

So….I will laugh and move on. Actually I disagree with your compliance team. I take the view compliance advise on the facts/breach and senior management make the “acceptable risk” call. I would relax in your shoes and take comfort in the fact you told them and have your ass covered in writing. I am a great believer in “ass covering”….. in the appropriate context of course ( more Brit innuendo)

When we moved here I went down to three days and now just one day. My recommendations

Ease into retirement don’t just stop
Do it as soon as you can afford it ….work is overrated
Make sure you have outside interests

Once I made the move my mental health improved and everyone who knew me said I was a different person…for the better!

In my college days, I would collect specimens of aquatic insects. Midges and others were a good indicatos for great fishery and good water quality. The college days were the no care in the world days.
