The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Damn rifle hasn't showed up. Did I mention disassembling the trigger group and the bolt? Yeah, nasty is the word. All the pieces are soaking in solvent and only the firing pin is clean.

I did get the purchese out in the mail for the IHC trigger group, which I wager is scads cleaner than this damned thing.
Was it packed in cosmoline or something? Or just nasty and rusty and not used in years?

I just put some beef short ribs in LOW and slow.... actually used a dry rub. Hope they don't suck

What time is supper???

I may go to the blue box store to see if they have a 32" x 2" metal tray of some kind and put this damned barreled receiver in it and let is soak overnight in some snarly solvent shit. This barrel will be a month of Sundays doing it by hand.

630?.....

Get some gnarly skin dissolving stuff.... haha

Would a piece of gutter work?

Wow!!! Yes!!! That's fucking brilliant!!! I might have to build it and them let the sealant cure overnight, but That would do it. I can always put it in the bathtub upstairs in case it leaks.

And for the record, I am the kind of guy who rebuilds carburetors at the kitchen table.

I am.ok with it....and I have been known to have moments of brilliance...hahahaha

I feel like I am invested in this whole gun adventure

It also dawned on me as you got my head thinking in a bigger box that a piece of 3' long and 3" in diameter steel pipe with a pair of threaded caps would also do the trick. Those I could seal and not have to worry about evaporation.

I'll keep you posted.

All I have to do is fill the barrel. I found some scrap pieces of aluminum foil. I folded one on thirds, foled it over the barrel end, and then taped snot out of it. I stood the barrel on the muzzle (capped off) end and filled it with stripper. I had another scrap piece of foil that I put over the chamber (open) end. We'll see how this works.

Good idea.... necessity is the mother of invention
