New Member Advice?

Publish a story in loving wives. Make sure she's really loving, bakes cakes, keeps a clean house, that kind of thing. It's a great way of introducing yourself.

think about what you want and enjoy writing in. be a writer. any idiot can mash keyboards. a writer is a musician with words. or a painter with words. don't just mash words out. FEEL THEM. Proofread. no one wants to read crap written by an illiterate. they want to read King, Koontz, Tolkien, Martin, Rawling. Proofread. Proofread. Proofread. If an error pops out look at why. did you misspell a word, incorrect grammar?

once you make a decision pm the thread leader (Usually the first poster in the thread) ask them questions. DO NOT just start posting in the story. That tends to piss people off. Do they have room for another writer? Some G can only deal with one or two writers. I've seen some that can handle dozens of collaborators. What do they need. Having six dozen writers all in security on a starship doesn't do jack shit when they need bridge crew, doctors, pilots, etc.

Never control another person's character. EVER.

Always ask. if I wrote a post and made someone else's character do something it's like rape. You took control away from the owner of the character. It's rude and offensive.

Be polite and respectful, just as you want people to be polite and respect you. If you Troll people... you'll get trolled and verbally abused.

Are you talking about the roleplaying threads in the forum?

Just enjoy the site. Read threads and stories that interest you. See what it makes you want to do or see that you never expected

Don't DM females without asking first. It's annoying.
i definitely don’t want to be annoying so how do you ask a lady if it would be ok to DM her? Obviously you can ask in a thread you are both interacting in but what if she simply starts following you and you want to get to know her?

If you're both in a thread, instead of putting her on the spot and asking, "can I dm YOU?", I'd say, " if you're interested, I'd love a dm FROM you".. so you let her decide.

Also new here, HI.
Thank you for your question.
Long time admirer, started out reading stories, then found forum pics because I am a man. I got sick of never being able to see attachments so I signed up.
Appreciate the ladies sharing photos and hope they get maximum enjoyment.
That's all.

Good advice. Thank you so much. Now what is the gentlemanly way to approach a lady when not in a thread with her?

I can't speak for anyone else obviously, but I kinda like if the guy does DM me and starts off saying, "sorry if this isn't a wanted message, but I enjoyed your post/poem/story.. And, yada yada".
I like when he's interested in me personally, not just a random message looking for naughty chat.

Once again, thank you so much! I would certainly never look for naughty chat right away. I want to get to know her first then if there is a connection and a chemistry maybe we can move to more naughty chat.

I feel like a new follower counts as an interaction, and they can get a lightweight, appreciative, introductory DM in response. If they don't answer, drop it.

Know what you want out of this place and don't be shy about telling others what that is.
