A few of the recent rounds in "Word Chain" have suggested to me the possibility of a new version, a chain of compound words. For example, one might lead with "freeboot,' to be followed by "bootblack," and then "blackboard," "boardroom," "roomful," "fulsome," "sometime." and so on.
Ideally, it would be actual compound words, but that might run into dead ends, so we could, if necessary, use hyphenated words, morphemes/graphemes that aren't quite independent words (cf. 'roomful' - 'fulsome'), or even two-word phrases.
