The shooting began Saturday night at Old Settlers Park, police said. At least six people were transported to hospitals with "potentially serious" injuries after shots were fired in a park in Round Rock, Texas, local officials said.

Two dead.
The victims were not part of the altercation, Chief Banks said.

Why is it that the ammosexuals keep away from commenting on these types of stories?

Because anything we say would be twisted and used against us.

Odds are the shooters are either mentally ill, gang members, or have criminal records, and were not supposed to possess firearms in the first place. These are horrific events and there is no justification for them.

I will wait for you to twist my words somehow to blame me and other law abiding gun owners for these events.

one less incel Trump supporter

The main takeaway from that shooting could very well be the fact that the perp used a handgun, and nobody has died from their wounds yet. (although two people, a mother and her child, are reportedly in critical condition.)

Imagine if the perp had used an AR-15 with high capacity magazines and had fired, switched magazines, fired, switched magazines, and then fired again. (3 times total.)

We would undoubtedly be having a very different conversation right now.

😑

And since we are making things up...What if he had a flamethrower? Or a tank? Or a tactical nuclear weapon? Or...?

It's funny how what actually happened is never enough for you guys.

Those are great odds. You ammosexuals are metally challenged and frightened by life.
See this is the best you have. You never discuss or debate, you attack and insult and then wonder why none of us law abiding gun owners ever take anything you say seriously. Your childish antics make your opinions null and void and actually work against your own cause. Nice work you are really helping the pro-gun side and we appreciate that.

Oh, and by the way, it's spelled mentally not metally.

The Constitution literally says so.

No it doesn't.

A well regulated militia being necessary for a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

Notice the red comma in the quote above? It separates the prefatory from the operative. It's a standard grammatical symbol used to divide 2 concepts contained in 1 sentence into their respective parts.

Thus, the 2nd Amendment says that a well regulated militia is necessary for the nation to remain free AND that people have a right to keep and bear arms.

It doesn't say anything about only the militia being able to bear arms.

The Supreme Court however is quite capable of being wrong or at least entirely random. They deemed that sawed off shotguns have no place on the battlefield and thus are not protected by the second. Given that any US war is likely to be urban combat I would argue a sawed off has much more of a logical place than a .50 cal rifle. there just aren't enough open areas in modern America and lots of places that would be door to door.

No one is saying the SCOTUS is always right. For instance I disagree most strongly with the Dobbs decision.

That doesn't change the fact that Dobbs is the law of the land and arguments that it isn't because of a personal ideology are FUCKING STUPID.

Now known as the National Guard, not Bubba and the Beer Barrel Rednecks.

^ Someone else hasn't bothered to do more than parrot someone's lies about what is and isn't a militia.

There's a Militia Act. It's been amended several times but turning the militia into the National Guard never happened. Why? Because there's an ORGANIZED militia (ie the NG) and an UNorgainsed militia.

The Militia Act in its various iterations first separated the militia into the 2 different parts and then never recombines the 2. Thus the Act cannot have incorporated the UNorgainzed militia into the NG. Anyone who thinks it did is flat out wrong.
