So I'm trying to work with somebody to get a couple new picnic tables. Just using some of my resources to try to fill in the gaps. So overall a good day we were there too long but people get chatty. Now I'm back at home filling out my self-assessment for my review. And I even got some puppy dog snuggles from Sven the German Shepherd puppy next door. He heard me drive up and came running. I'm pretty sure I may be his best friend. He has this new thing now where he grabs my hand with his mouth and leads me places. It's very funny. How is your day going?

Well done to you. The more we put into our respective youngsters the more chance they will turn out decent human beings. I love helping kids develop. I taught martial arts for so long and missed teaching kids when I moved here. Now I get to teach them to tie trout flies and fish. Two end# of the same spectrum. Helping kids!

Daisy the Lba Girl does similarly with my hand, but she doesn't take it. It usually hurts a bit because she's usually bouncing when she does it, but then I'm going with her anyway.


Interview is postponed until tomorrow, the grass is cut, and I started Chapter One of a book idea. It's an easy one, so I may actually finish this one.

If you met some of the parents in my village you would understand why the kids are messed up. Parents who won't fill out the free school lunch paperwork and send their adhd kid to school with pop tarts and older kid who came to the elementary school to "have fun" and jumped on and broke all the picnic tables....

One has to be a serious minimalist to be able to live in a tiny house. I'm not one... 😅😆

So it wants to be a well-planned house with good air control. It's surprising to me how many new houses aren't designed with using open windows in mind. I love fresh air. I also love humidity control and well ventilated bathrooms. So, 2x6 walls with foam insulation and well sealed construction is a start. ADA access is a necessity, inside and out.

Have you looked into alternative construction methods? I recently read articles on bag-built and tire-built homes. The bag houses are made with bags full of dirt. Tire houses are those made with old tires, also filled with dirt. HUGE R-values on both!

God how I love Mrs. Wonderer!! Over the weekend I got a flat tire on my tractor. I was going to fix it this coming weekend, it’s an old-school tubed tire. It could be an original tire , but I just hate taking the tire off the bead, removing the innertube, looking for and sanding any sharp rust spots on the rim… putting on the new innertube and aligning it just right, getting the tractor tire back on the bead… it’s a fucking process…

I am not known for my patience!!

Mrs wonderer, removed the tire yesterday, took it down to a local tractor place. Saved me a couple of hours of swearing and cussing. All for only $60.

I’ll take that deal any day of the week!! She’s a fuckin keeper treasure!!!
