Finally! The Rx that got mangled between two clinics and the insurance is ready now.
No, no really - let's not try and fix it so the customer can get her medication in a timely manner. It's nothing urgent like an inhaler. Let's just wait 4 whole weeks until insurance will cover a refill - even though all records clearly show never has it ever been filled!!

Thanks - I feel better. And now I'm off to the pharmacy before they change their mind about it being ready for pick up.

I am, and I also like built new with creative planning and not just huge because the budget will afford it. I have looked into the Tiny Houses thing but I'm not feeling it as far as a popular niche goes. My next one (not that I ever built a for-me last one) wants to have ADA accessibility for ingress/egress and baths, especially. Kitchens, too, since it's all part of the deal. But if you do an ADA kitchen, you need to have a very large pantry to store all that crap (food and pots-n-pans) that used to go into the base cabinets that you give up for accessibility's sake. That and a lot of people need to toss a lot of crap. Wat has less stuff than he did 5 years ago, and he's all the better for it.

The landlady has a pond, not large, but wet. The Labs love it. The boy wades, the girl swims. The old white horse liked to go stand in it, too. And there are fish. Wat chases off the herons when he's there.

I love the herons, they are the most graceful and beautiful birds.

But I chased them too, wat.

There are two 90° turns on our creek and creates a nice little trout hole. Lots of good nice local native Browns.

But damn if those herons don’t sometimes fish them out….

It’s a day at the computer for me and recovery from 6 hours driving yesterday. Great day celebrating my mums 89 birthday. Then after lunch I offer to take her for a walk around the block with my brother. Get out of the door and she takes us on a 2 1/2 mile hike into the country and back home! Some woman who complains only that she is a little slow

I love that! She’s a tough lady. I bet her son takes after her just a bit.

if you’re in Scotland she must be pretty far down south.

I think those are carp in the pond. Two are large. The herons go after the littler ones. A 20gauge in the their general direction causes them to shoo.


There's a creek at the bottom of the hill that I haven't investigated, but that's where my joke to put the pig waller is situated. Truth is, pigs are healthier living on concrete.

Exactly!!! We as 'Murrikanz have entirely too much shit. I have been downsizing for several years. I don't have the clothes I did have, but I probably still have too many. Thing is, I see a shirt I like, I buy all 4 colors. I gotta cut that shit out. So that and mostly the firearms and bullion is why a tiny house won't work. So it wants to be a well-planned house with good air control. It's surprising to me how many new houses aren't designed with using open windows in mind. I love fresh air. I also love humidity control and well ventilated bathrooms. So, 2x6 walls with foam insulation and well sealed construction is a start. ADA access is a necessity, inside and out.

730 meeting, so I’m up a little earlier than normal. Bad dreams around 4 didn’t help. Working thru it with a workout (and catching up on lit… Jesus this thread moves at the speed of light)

Mowing the front lawn tonight after dinner.

Going to get warmer, and we’re planning our annual visit to the nude beach in New Jersey next week.

God how I love Mrs. Wonderer!! Over the weekend I got a flat tire on my tractor. I was going to fix it this coming weekend, it’s an old-school tubed tire. It could be an original tire , but I just hate taking the tire off the bead, removing the innertube, looking for and sanding any sharp rust spots on the rim… putting on the new innertube and aligning it just right, getting the tractor tire back on the bead… it’s a fucking process…

I am not known for my patience!!

Mrs wonderer, removed the tire yesterday, took it down to a local tractor place. Saved me a couple of hours of swearing and cussing. All for only $60.

I’ll take that deal any day of the week!! She’s a fuckin keeper treasure!!!

Thanks be to Allah that I can still do all the work I want to. I can farm out the parts that need to go quickly or that need to be done by folks who do that shit (like foam insulation) and doo all of the stuff that I can make tracks with (interior trim, cabinets, and paint - because Wat hates painters). I'm thinking about some foofoo accent trim because I can. But it hasn't happened yet.


The landlady is a good kid, like the little sister I never had. That's as far as it goes, too, or will ever go. Wat needs another Entangling Alliance like a fish needs a new Harley.

I have a broken piece of op rod spring to remove from the 80YO op rod, and I need not to fuck it up. The book doesn't have much detail on how to do it. Good news is, the spring is broken, so it's a casualty already. It's the rod Wat needs to be good to.
