Mrs Rj and I are going to Garage Sales & flea marketing. I know we're coming home with a ton of shit we don't need.Good morning everyone and happy Friday! I won’t lie this week has dragged, so I’m pretty happy it’s that far among. I thought yesterday was Friday so it made for a longer day
I hope all you awesome people have a kick-ass day today!
Can’t argue that.
I always think of the holy trinity of great Brit bands as the stones, the who and the kinks. (No disrespect to the Beatles, just not a huge fan.)
And yes rage too.
Yes PinocchioI'm in! But I can only drink 2. I'm a cheap date!![]()
I actually really LOVE the Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd. Totally unhinged personally and musically.Brits of the mid-60s, yes. Then the Yardbirds and Cream. Then Zep and Pink Floyd, maybe moreso when Roger Waters took over writing from Syd Barrett. Regardless, always remember to be careful with that axe, Eugene.
I like the Beatles. Okay. Maybe John more than Paul.
It's all in my iPhone Apple music thingies, a long with nearly 7000 other songs.
Lol I can imagine. Sometimes you do run across a rare nuggetMrs Rj and I are going to Garage Sales & flea marketing. I know we're coming home with a ton of shit we don't need.
That and “Wish You Were Here” are my two fave Floyd songs. You are quite right, I think The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a very underrated record.I actually really LOVE the Syd Barrett era Pink Floyd. Totally unhinged personally and musically.
Yardbirds, Cream, The Birds (with an I) and a ton of what they called “freakbeat” bands. Garage-y as fuck.
Piper At The Gates of Dawn and their early singles w Syd were amazing I thought. That and “Wish You Were Here” are my two fave Floyd songs. You are quite right, I think The Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a very underrated record.
That said, when Gilmour arrived Floyd really came into their own
I'll listen to it, & let you know if it's a keeperPiper At The Gates of Dawn and their early singles w Syd were amazing I thought.
Another spacey and psychedelic band you may wanna check out is Hawkwind. Heavy metal space rock. Really wild stuff. They had a bass player named Lemmy… who went on to front Motörhead. And a huge boobed (@@) dancer named Stacia who was part of the act. Incredible stuff.
Pretty big in England, but never really made it in the US…

Sorry, how disrespectful but I didn't want to assume a gender. It could be just about anything someone wants to identify as on this site, including Cat.
Your right about that...lolSorry, how disrespectful but I didn't want to assume a gender. It could be just about anything on this site including Cat.
The sales manager asking your salesman... "How could you sell a car below cost?"To be fair, I waltzed in wearing a pair of skin tight white jeans and a red & white striped tube top with sandals.
I also got an excellent deal on the car. You see, I learned how to haggle in Italy, too!![]()
I’d add Bill Bruford of Yes to that and even the recently departed Alan White of later Yes years. If you want to see some excellent drumming from The Floyd’s Nick Mason, look no further than Live in Pompeii’s Echo’s pt 1…Brits of the mid-60s, yes. Then the Yardbirds and Cream.
