Monday, April 15th: First Ever Criminal Trial for a Former US President

"Right"guide regularly commits to defending a corrupt orange POS that has never honored a commitment in its life.

"Right"guide should be committed.

😑

He's not the only one. Derpy is going off the deep end.

Threats of violence from the party of law and order because they didn't like the law and order applied to them. The GOP is fucking insane. Traitorously insane.

I guess we’ll see

They were lengthy. And an important part was the instruction that the couldn’t convict on Cohens word alone, but had to have corroboration, which they did

Yes, the MAGA talking points. Shame he couldn’t get a change of venue to MAGAland. And now y’all are claiming the judge was handpicked instead of coming up in the rotation.

Interesting, I didn’t see anything about Biden doubting things, but then again wasn’t paying attention. Yes, watching FOX, hope may have waned but they were busy ginning up the spin.

Things will play out as they play out. Meanwhile, crooked trump is not just a slur like he calls Biden but a reality. Meanwhile, y’all think trump made a perfect phone call and didn’t sic alt right whackos to stop pence.

Ah, the ongoing glamorization of a grifter who has built a cult and is casting a spell over his base for his own enrichment. And yes, trump is basically Thanos.

It sounded to me like Pecker fucked Trump. (Quite fitting.)

According to reports, the jury specifically asked to hear some of his testimony again.

👍

i'll be happier when more verdicts come in and he's shown to be the titanic
for now, i'm thinking he avoided the iceberg warnings and plowed ahead (trump v E.J.Carroll), and now he's been ripped a long gash below the belt line but is still thinking he'll float on and be drinking the champagne
(he'll be counting on his trump judges as lifeboats)

Nice.

can we count on those republicans who said they'd not vote for trump if he was convicted of a felony?

the other trials aren't going to come before November (i'm guessing, anyway) but if he's STILL the republican candidate will they hold their noses anyway and vote trump?
will they not vote for president but vote republican down-ballot?

Me? Off the deep end?

Aren't you one of the ones who wanted to put a 12 year old boy in prison merely because his father won an election?

Is that end of the pool deep enough for you?

This was the weakest indictment, so the real punishment is on the way. :D

Doubt it. They’ll probably cross their fingers that trump won’t destroy the country, hold their breath and vote for him as well as down ballot because of programming.

So didn't Florida repeal the ability for felons to vote?
so, this: 2020
What laws govern eligibility for restoring voting rights?

The eligibility requirements to restore voting rights are found in the Florida Constitution and Florida Statutes. See specifically, section 4, Article VI, Fla. Const., and section 98.0751, Fla. Stat.

What standards govern eligibility to vote after a felony conviction?

  • A felony conviction in Florida for murder or a sexual offense makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida unless and until the person’s right to vote is restored by the State Clemency Board.
  • For any other felony conviction in Florida, a person is eligible to register and vote if the person has completed all terms of his or her sentence. Completion of the sentence means:
    • Prison or jail time;
    • Parole, probation, or other forms of supervision; and
    • Payment of the total amount of all fines, fees, costs, and restitution ordered as part of the felony sentence.
Note: Such person may alternatively apply to have his or her right to vote restored by the State Clemency Board.

  • A felony conviction in another state makes a person ineligible to vote in Florida only if the conviction would make the person ineligible to vote in the state where the person was convicted.
  • An offense on which a person was not adjudicated guilty does not make a person ineligible to vote.
  • A misdemeanor conviction does not make a person ineligible to vote.

As previously mentioned, it's evident that this verdict won't withstand the scrutiny of the appellate process. The inevitability of the guilty verdict became apparent upon the revelation of the jury instructions by the Judge, which were unjustly barred from discussion during closing arguments. It's apparent that the scales of justice were tampered with. From the outset, the overwhelming Democratic majority in New York City, coupled with the handpicked selection of the judge—instead of a random selection from a pool of 171—both for Trump's and Bannon's trials, raises serious concerns. The odds of impartiality seem improbable. Even the President himself harbored doubts about the fairness of the trial. Though I held onto a glimmer of hope that at least one juror would see through the manipulation, that hope waned in the final days of the proceeding

What's the next move? there will be an appeal, drawing from the points I've highlighted earlier. However, navigating the court system could take months. In the interim, Joe Biden will have achieved his long-desired goal: branding Donald Trump as a convicted felon. It's a tactic straight from the Democratic playbook, but it doesn't overshadow the grave injustice that has transpired. It falls upon the legal system in New York to set things right. While the Democrats and their fervent supporters may celebrate this as a victory, it's a stark reminder of the lengths they'll go for political advantage

There is a tale an untold saga, the very fabric of narratives that captivates the masses in theaters across America. It unfolds around a lone figure, his spirit unbroken despite relentless assaults from an unyielding adversary. He faces off against a malevolent force, a twisted embodiment of wrath and greed—a relentless pursuit for dominion veiled in darkness. At its core, it's the timeless clash between good and evil.

A story to be released on November 5, 2024.

Not a word of your drivel contests the facts of the case.

Fact: Trump committed fraud to prevent the Stormy Daniels story from coming out before the election.

Fact: The 2016 Trump campaign was promoted by fraudulent means.

Fact: The Trump campaign cheated by illegal means in a close election.

None of this matters to you because you are as dishonest as Donald Trump but you don’t consider it a problem to cheat the American people in pursuit of your self-interests.

You’re a fraud.

Ladies and gentlemen, we got him.
I think I'll gloat for a moment before MAGA swarms all over this and starts ranting and raving about Merchan and Bragg and Cohen and Stormy and Jack Smith and Marxism and fascism and Hunter's laptop and Hilary's emails and drag queens reading to children and transwomen using Ladies' restrooms and gas stoves and low-flow toilets and...

outside the courthouse

trump: "the real trial is on November 5th" + yadayadyada "I'm the innocentest President evah, duh! Biden Biden Biden, rapists, drug traffickers, flooding into America... blah blah blah... I did NOTHING WRONG!"

indeed
and i hope the jury brings in the same verdict: guilty on all counts

The lack of remorse may lead to a harsher sentence.

Influencing an election by fraudulent means is a felony in NY.

Trump’s 2016 campaign was based on fraud. The Trump GOP is based on fraud.
You mean Hillary Clinton's campaign was based on fraud. Trump could have weaponized the DOJ and had his AG prosecute Hillary but he rose above it unfortunately the dems became this vile, classless unethical body of slime who believe that the rule of law only pertains to conservative republicans. Put the cork back in your champagne bottles the battle has just entered another level. N Y justice system now stands behind the likes of the Taliban.

Joe Biden will have to face two really bad days in the near future, watching his only living son carted off to prison and his own useless ass carted out of the White House.

How can you say Hunter should go to prison in one post and that the courts are corrupt in another. You can’t have it both ways.

Trump convicted on all counts. Suck it.
