The weird thing is that I like to stay informed and I think in a general sense I know my stuff in terms of government and world events But I've glanced at the politics board maybe twice in the years I've been here. It's just that bad.

I don't mind talking politics with people, even if I don't agree with them, as long as we're both trying to seek mutual understanding rather than try to change someone's opinion or name call. The politics board is full of self riteous folks who believe their POV is the only true & correct way, who love to name call, and will pick a fight even if you are agreeing with them.

My daily life is steeped in politics, against my will. I can tell you that both parties absolutely LOVE the kind of people arguing in that forum.
