The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

Yeah! You made it! I was going to attempt to make something similar here in the old folks home, so we didn’t clutter up the youn’uns threads on the PG! 🤣.

Just didn’t get around to PM’ing you yet!
Not clutter-add in a needed way 😀

Feel free to send me recipes. I got two from @CuriousRick already :)
I’m driving for about 3 hours and will work on them later today. If you have pics send them too 🍔🌭🌮🌯🥙🥗🥪🍕🍖🍗🍱🧆🥘🍲🍛🍜🍝🍣🍤🥟🍳🍳🥞🧇🍪🧁🍨🍮
Who knew there were so many food emojis 🤣🤣

I just feel that if you work on the basis that 95% of the population are ass holes you are unlikely to be disappointed. You are just pleasantly surprised when you stumble on the 5%.

All members of this thread excluded of course!

Very accurate. I am the person who, when meeting a strange person and a strange cat on the street will introduce himself to the cat.

Good so far hun

The first time I ever threw up from drinking was from pounding vodka tonics all night at a party in high school. I only drank maybe three times in high school, so I was really hammered, but having a blast. But the party ran out of vodka, so someone started making me gin and tonics. I lost my lunch, tossed my cookies, and saw a couple things in the toilet that I still swear were organs.

Took 30 years before I could even take a sniff of gin and not turn green.
First thing I ever got drunk on was gin. At 14. Could never stand the smell of it ever again lol

Got the grass cut - not well but adequate. Rain's a'comin'. Did some sanding on the new stock - just high-number grit polishing, really. Tried the stains in the barrel trough - no stain it is. Just the finish - Tung Oil. And the s'ghetti smells wonderful!!! I may cheat and cut it off sooner and have some soon. I'm hungry anyway.

So far so d, ma'am, and Happy Weekend to you, too.

I pulled out Wonder67's s'ghetti sauce recipe and the Desire to Tune that has always liked in my head. So, crushed tomatoes. I made the bestest sauce ever when I used Romas that I had grown myself. That's not happening this year, but I discovered that Contadina cans Roma maters, so I scored a bunch. It doubled the cost of that ingredient, but it sure as Hell tastes like I had a hankerin' for and that's all that matters. I use more garlic and onions, and I'm tossing in 2 pounds of mild Italian sausage. I weaseled out on the spices and just used Italian seasoning, but I used a lot of it. It''s be ready in 8 hours because it's getting the very slow cook.
Sounds yummy. I made a slow braised beef dish... a little like a stroganoff with mushrooms and onions... crossed with a beef vegg8e soup without the veggies... pretty tasty

Mushrooms were what I wished I'd had (not canned). I did toss in several green olives, sliced. I add those when I remember to, and today, I remembered.
