I forgot if I said anything, but I walked over to the new piece of dirt that we bought first of the month. There were (at least) 4 Bambi deer. Three retreated when they figured out I had seen them, but one stayed put and stared at me. "Why are you on our lot, Human?"


"I pay the taxes here, Bambi." S/he turned and left. Then they sneaked around in the road cut and watched us from over there. They seemed to have no extra fear.

Glad you got some a/c working at your house. This old place is still on window units, and we may be installing them this weekend. It's generally a Memorial Day-ish tradition.
 
So settled in and opened my first bottle of 15yr Frigate Rum…OH MY! Just so smooth. This is brought to you by Flip Pallot, he of one of ESPN’s fishing show’s fame in the early 90’s. He and a few other bubba’s put this together, and I’ve only had the 8yr old stuff (good) up to this point. Flip is our modern day Hemingway, only he uses the video medium and he’s much less doochy of a human! 😂

Anyhow, you can order this stuff online as it’s only available in FL, AL, GA, and SC…

I bought some Haitian rum, Barbancourt I think the name was, dark 21 yr old rum in the Caymans about 20yrs ago…was back there this spring and couldn’t find it? If you ever get your hands on that, don’t pass it up!

Friend of my sister's had a bad breakup years ago. BF was from Jamaica and had several bottles of cheap rum at their place that he didn't pick up when he took the rest of his stuff.

I took it all off her hands and proceeded to make the most kick 🫏 rum balls for the next several years!! Might have been a bit rough for drinking but was perfect for that rum ball recipe. 😁
